our tours through them. The resort is a little out of town (which is
really nice) and you can either catch a bus, cycle or taxi (aud 5-6). It

The hotel is outside Yangshuo but very close to Moon Hill attraction,
caves. Hotel rent bikes and you can do a bike trip starting from the
hotel. Hotel could provide a guide to do this. Staff speak english and
convenient to give touristic informations and call taxi free wifi Room
typically chinese style ; good food (western or chinese)

The location was good -- close to the action but far enough away not to
be bothered by any noise -- it was on the river. Reception staff,
particularly Angela and Lucy, were very helpful -- arranging several
tours for us. Room and hotel could use some tlc, ie we had a cracked
sink, water leaking from our toilet and some broken tiles in the
bathroom. However, value was pretty good for the money that we paid. The
restaurant had good Western and Chinese food,

We received great service during our stay at Bamboo House Resort. Our room was great with a giant spa in the middle and a balcony overlooking the street - great for an afternoon drink and people watching. We booked a half day bicycle tour through the countryside with a local guide through the hotel, and it was great value for money at 140 RMB each

We liked the nice comfy bed after sleeping on a rock hard one in Guilin. The bathroom was really beautiful with a jetted tub and heated seat on the toilet. Also had a roomy shower with a rainshower head plus a handheld shower head. Close to all the shops and restaurants.

The Li River Retreat is a family type run hotel located just outside of the main town area of West Street. No large corporate atmosphere here, this is the real China exsperience so expect a blip here and there and consider it part of the experience.
