Room was what we expected. Clean, nice bathroom, bin was cleaned every day, they also provide bag of tea and 0,5l bottle of mineralized water. Many shops with food around and subway is not far away as well. Nice place where to stay. I personally liked the location close to subway line 2 and there were many local shops around. The girl at the front desk spoke some english and helped when ever we ask, booked taxis etc.
all reviews » The location was excellent (super strategic) and in a walking distance to Line 1 subway station (Shanghai Railway Station). Good value for money. We maybe there again!. Each day a new bottle of water is left in the room which is a nice touch. The hotels staffs are so friendly and supportive even though they are not so well in English. The hotel is primarily aimed at Chinese people. They only offered Chinese breakfast and chinese speaking day tours. Also it was a bit hard to find nice food in the area how ever there is a great chicken take away place down the street, better than kfc! Haha. Nothing important, regarding the price. The surrounding area seems to be a bit dangerous if you arrive at night. But it is not. The single occupant room is too small. but for the price it is okay... Room (8)425 Very Very Small; other than a small single bed, there was hardly any room to move around. Location: Walking distance from the Shanghai train station (about 15-20 min East then North) but if you are carrying heavy luggage BEWARE! DaTong (big wide) Street is truncated with one or two places with many many steps to climb up and down and walking through a long tunnel under the road. Slightly hard to find. (It's in off the at the back of a kind of courtyard. You should be able to see the name of the hotel from the street if you're looking into the courtyard.). Nothing. None. Rooms are small and shower takes a while to get hot. As it is a large hotel, you often have to wait at the reception. Area is a bit far adn run daown , but it's worth it.. The breakfast was terrible. The whole buffet breakfast consisted of a few hard boiled eggs, very limited selection of not tasty dumplings and something more. Don't take the breakfasts there. It's better to buy something to eat in a nearby shop. Cleanness and lack of toilet paper. nothing. water in shower. There are no good restaurants around except for kfc, its kind of outdated and it feels like you are in the 80's don't make my mistake I took a taxi for 180 rmb take the subway to north shoungh or something like that!. Personnel speaks little English You need to pay for city map additionally. room seirvse not good. Not the best neigbourhood. limited people who understand other language like English. it located center of city, but hard to find there. around area. low sound-proofing I booked a room of 18 m2, I got a room of 10 m2 without the bathroom, 13,5m2 with the bathroom.
