  Very nice hostel!!! Good english-speaking stuff, nice cozy room(we took room with 2 floors), hostel in a pedestrian area, in the most beautiful area in the town. Close to the lake and main train station(we came by walk). In the Smile cafe which in the next door from hostel all the guests have 20% discount. Really, strongly recommend! - Très bonne... what people say » localisation, personnel accueillant et parlant anglais. Very pleasant place to stay in Hangzhou. Good location, near the lake and He Fang street. Staff very friendly and speak English! Perfect place for globetrotter ;)

  The staff is friendly, even if they speak a little English. They can provide you only few additoonal information regarding how to rent bicycles, going to local traditional restaurants, activities and so on only because of their poor English. If you can speak/understand a little Chinese they can give you good advice. Anyway, on a wall in the hostel... what people say » , someone (a guest, I suppose) spent some time writing some of the fundamental info you need. Great location, very close to the long bridge on the lak - The dim environment give a very comfortable feeling. And the receptionists are nice and talkative.

  We had a double room on the 2nd floor. No elevator, so you have to drag your luggage up. There is construction work going on (maybe the whole year of 2013) but we were on the other side of the building. The room is a bit small and the bathroom is part of the room (glass door for the shower). The reception is staffed by a variety of young people.   The location is very good! It is located right inside the old village which is another tourist hotspot and a lot of good, traditional Hangzhou food with varying price range around. The staffs are very friendly and the room is clean. It is around 15 mins walk to Xi Hu. I will definitely stay here again if I go Hangzhou again! No problem shopping for local souvenirs and eating local food. McDonalds is less than 100m away. Very near to bus stops. Travel between airport and this hotel can be done via public bus, thus very economical.

  Rooms are clean, spacious, well designed. Beds are comfortable. The hotel has just been renovated, it has a country feel with wooden floors. Great location for West Lake. 10 minute walk. - The location was great - 10 min walk or 3 min bike ride away from the west lake. The service was good too and the hotel owners were really nice.

  Beautiful location on the hillside. View from the balcony was really nice and peaceful. We enjoyed the stroll to West Lake thru wonderful scenery from the hostel. Staff were friendly and helpful but I don't think English is their strong suit (aside from the American Chinese owner).

  Perfect location for walking around the lake and catching various buses. Very helpful and friendly staff. I would definitely stay there again - great value for money if you just want a clean place to sleep in a great location! - Good english speaking stuff (it's very important in China), free wi-fi, nice location

  We planned to stay 2 nights at the West Lake in Hangzhou, but after the first afternoon in the hostel and the tea-hills around we booked an additional 2 nights. We had a 'twin' room which was really 2 queen beds in a spacious room on the first floor (2nd in China). It was at the side of the road, but we had no problems sleeping at all. The rooms arent really what make this hostel great... the seating area d - - Staff speaks excellent English, they always tried to help me with with all the problems I encountered! Absolutely no communication barrier. - Atmosphere of friendship and hospitality weaving the hostel. The hostel lounge is a very nice place to spent the evening chatting with other guests and staff. - You can always order some food both western and Chinese. The cook is very skilful, and You'll get the dishes quickly. - Bikes for rent are available at the hotel. - The rooms are small but cosy

  Excellent location close to the West Lake, and near some western bars and restaurants (if you're looking for that), right next to Eudora Station, 5 minute walk from Xihu Tiandi. The bed was quite big and very comfortable. - Great location, nice room with the most comfortable bed we've had in China. Good value for money.

  The staff is just great, helpful, friendly, smiling and generous. I remember I was sunbathing, looking at the beautiful bamboo forest, when someone working at Howoo came to me and offered me a delicious cup of coffee, though I had asked for nothing.
