The professionnalism of the staff at the front counter. When informing the employee at the front counter upon my arrival that I tried to contact the hotel from the airport for a shuttle but that I never got through and that I ended up taking a taxi, she took it upon herself to inform the manager and got me a discount on my room (the amount of the taxi fair). The fact that the employee at the front counter remembered me the next morning.
all reviews » The hotel was easy to get to and not to far from the doctor I had to see. The lounge was certainly friendly and the food was very good. The staff in the restaruant were very helpful. I liked the size of the rooms. The beds were very comfortable. We were close to shopping and pretty close to central....it was a good stay. Nice clean room, quiet for sleeping, comfy beds, close to shopping and since I live north of Winnipeg it's easy to get to. The staff at the restaurant were very friendly and courteous. The hallways were not very clean...they could have been vacuumed. I also did not appreciate all the noise from the housekeeping staff while we were trying to rest .....there needs to be more and better sized handi cap parking....just a few thoughts. But on the whole we really enjoyed our stay....thank you. Pillows were too puffy for sleeping on. you did'nt include taxes in total price. The room was small. We had booked for a family of 5 and the room only had two small double beds, which was disappointing. The food was average. Also very noisy, from outside and within the hotel, but there was a function on so this may not always be the case. Limited parking, esp. for a full-size 1/2-ton. Hallway noisy at night/early morning. Limited exercise equipment available, very small and shallow pool. the whirl pool jets were very weak the pool is quite small some of the electrical plug ins were broken when i plugged in my phone to charge the cord would not stay plugged in the coffee maker was not clean tried to make hot water for tea in it made the tea taste bad. Beds are terrible. Roll to the middle. Didn't like that ice machine wasn't on every floor. Didn't like that the rooms were clean but old style bed covers. Also would of liked to see suits but did not see one online. I hate soift beds, no convenient plug-ins (-30) noisy heating system in room (vibrates). My reservation was guaranteed by credit card two months prior to check in date for a room with 2 queen beds and a cot to accommodate 3 people. Our room was given away before we arrived for our 3 pm check in and we were told hotel was over sold! The room were we're given was a twin and my adult son had to sleep on an air mattress that didnt hold air essentially leaving him to sleep on the floor. I have never left a poor hotel review before so please do not take me as a chronic complainer.
