The staff were consummate professionals but also very personable and friendly. They were generous with their time to answer questions and their manners were impeccable. I believe it was Lisa who booked us in and when she realized that my husband and I were staying with my sister and brother-in-law who we were seeing off the next day to Ireland. all reviews » I was only approx. A 25 minute drive to downtown Toronto, where the hotel rates were triple, the parking was more than double. It was far more pleasing and without the feeling of being crowded, like the downtown Hotels are. Toronto is too big, too busy, and too expensive. The staff was freindly, must mention Jack Taylor from the Restaurant, he was committed to his the guests , that was what we found, so thanks to him . Overall a short stay but a very pleasant one < Thank you. Loved the indoor pool area. Room had comfortable beds. Location to airport was main reason for this stay. I was annoyed to see that the hotels out this way, are now charging for parking. The WiFi didn't work at all for the last 2 of the 3 days and nights I was there. He was told someone would bring more towels but the towels never arrived after almost an hour spent in the pool. Possibly the long wait for the shuttle when I arrived from New York. No other restaurants within walking distance of hotel. Pool is not wheelchair friendly, I was disturbed to see a young boy who had cerebral palsy I believe have to crawl up the stairs because that is the only way he could get in or out. He was with his mother and too big to carry. This is inexcusable. Printer not working in the business centre. Gift shop wasn't open during posted hours, and only carried the Globe & Mail. I know this area considers itself the centre of the universe, but how about the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal?. We didn't like the mattress on the bed. It was okay but every time you moved it squeaked, and didn't find the coil mattress that comfortable. Nothing - was all great. Shuttle to pick up at airport took forever. Hotel wasn't very clear about where to get shuttle. we could not see the planes at the airport ... my husband is a pilot and likes to watch them land and take off. Even though it is a no smoking hotel I smelled cigarette smoke on the first night and dope smoke on the second. Waiter not too attentive in restaurant, and it was empty. Coffee/tea making machine in the room was very small and used wasteful paper cups. We suggest more appropriate mugs and proper milk/cream be provided. Pick up time we had to wait for the shuttle. This is the 2nd time I have stayed here and had to wait 35-40 mins outside at the pick up point. Breakfast on site was a disaster. food at the buffet was cold when it came out from kitchen, no one offered a menu, omellette station had no one there to cook, very disappointed for the $17 per person........... Nothing!. About 11:30 pm A loud tumping noise woke us coming from above our room.It continued for quite awhile .Had an early rise,but we didn't get back to sleep. nothing it was all great. AC settings wouldn't work. had to unplug then didn't turn on when plugged back in. That there wasn't a little store/boutique to purchase odds and ends. place mats were not replaced or cleaned very well after customers left dinning room. Canadian tax!. A map of the area would have been useful for travellers without GPS. Nothing close by - eg food, drugstore, shopping. Shamppo hung on the wall, shampoo and body lotion poor quality, faucet not working properly same was reported to front desk, I was informed that it was going to be fixed, but no one did!, Seems like they dont even care about your comfort level as long as they have been paid in advance, they have given the highest and farthest from elevator room available may be because I have already booked in advance through booking .com?. The water in the pool was not heated and the whirlpool was working only the last day The carpet looked "tired" on the 6th floor where I stayed. Same for the elevator. no shopping within walking distance. food was average. My reservation was not registered. They could not find my name in the system and I had to pay again. Pay parking, left something in room, called and left message at their lost and found later the same day,two days later, still haven't heard anything. not close to anything else. Nothing really.
