We have stayed at Best Western for many years both in Canada and USA,and for the 2nd time at Cedar Park Inn. It is a friendly place to stay. Restaurant is excellent, rooms are clean and upgrades have been notable to us both times. I have stayed here before and the rooms always seem clean. Just watched Market Place and best Western in Toronto scored badly for not being clean so glad I saw it after my trip. This hotel seems clean and the price is right.
all reviews » For this stay: Room was clean, everything was well-stocked. Late check- in wasn't a problem. Decent view (facing south-don't get a north facing room at this building, it's all demolition and construction north of the hotel). Friendly, accommodating front desk staff. Clean, comfortable updated room. Easy access from Gateway or Calgary trail. Breakfast in restaurant was good & staff great. Will stay here again when in Edmonton. The room was clean and tidy. My 2 year daughter enjoyed her stay away from home. The room was warm, cozy and welcoming. Perfect stay at perfect price. Would recommend to others and will probably visit again. We got there very late at night and left early in the morning so it is hard for us to fully express our view. The hotel itself is great with the 1970s retro style. - Friendly reception and housekeeping - Convenient location (close to many amenities) - Clean room - Comfy beds - Free parking - Free WiFi - Good overall value. Lots of parking, easy to get to, in and out, secure, restaurant/lounge on location. Budget friendly, Red arrow (Tour) bus service to door (didn't use). The room was very comfortable and clean--good bed, chair was great, enough outlets for chargers etc. Excellent as a Red Arrow stop. So convenient!. The hotel was very inviting with quick check-in and friendly staff. They are pet friendly and the room assigned with pets is as good as others. The staff there have excellent customer service skills. I enjoyed my stay. Clean, quiet enough & fairly comfortable. Good value for money. Location was great, and although it is dated it waw clean and comfortable. (Had stayed there before with soccer team.). It was close to down town, easy to get to anywhere I wanted to go, Freindly, I will be booking this hotel again . I got the room for a fair price, last minute. The front desk and lounge staff were very helpful and attentive. I was surprised that my room was as pleasant as it was. I found it very relaxing and comfortable. It was all excellent. The location was the best. I could get to anywhere in the city very quickly. I really liked the location. The only complaint was the mattress and linen and when I spoke with the manager he had no problem inspecting the room with me and we have been promised the problem would be taken care of before our return visit next year. We were much too hot and didn't figure out how to cool it off so just suffered. I am sure there must have been a way. Our coffee maker didn't work-but they replaced it. Wi-Fi didn't work the first evening and was up somewhat and down the next morning. they gave me Best Western points to make up for the problems. This stay :Behaviour of other guests, lots of rowdy noise in the hallway, a person passed out in front of my door. Previous stays : Booked for a room with a jacuzzi, got a room with a separate kids room w bunk beds. Booked for a room w Jacuzzi, jaccuzi didn't work, black grit in the bottom of the tub, panels in base of jacuzzi were missing or out of place. No comment for now. - Decor (but that doesn't really matter). Hallways seemed dark, i.e. wall color. 1. Coffee in room was terrible. Really terrible. A few sips and threw it out. How could you have such nice beds and such cheap horrible coffee? 2. I requested a room humidifier but they didn't have any. Parking is limited at times and to get to the parking lot in back one must always pass through a handful of smokers. If you forget something in your room do NOT expect to get it back. This hotel does not have any written policy on how to process items forgotten in the rooms. Housekeeping does NOT record that something was found and they do NOT attempt to return it to you - even if you tell them the room number and date. Pillows are to over stuffed & woke the first morning with a very sore neck. Went out & got my own pillow. That I booked 2 rooms through letsbookhotel.com and only one was reserved., But they found us one. (Luckily I had a copy of my email). The pillows on the bed were terribly hard and small. They were not comfortable at all. Between 2 queen sized beds we found only 1 pillow that didn't hurt our necks. The mini toiletries were lacking. I forgot lotion and there wasn't any. No body wash or conditioner, just a shampoo and bar soap. I am an inner city person who likes to walk and use transit, so the location is not so great. But I knew that in advance, so that was no surprise. The restaurant was very poor service. Because its a family hotel (I know its to be expected) but, I didnt like that there was kids screaming and running up and down the halls at 11pm. I also didn't like that visa debit is not typically accepted. And that an extra 250 dollars was charged as a pre-auth. No breakfast included Noise from outside (construction site, air con?). 1 Arriving @ Hotel, I was told that 2 rooms were booked for me. I had requested only one. That situation was corrected wthout any problem. 2 No water was in the toilet tank in my bathroom. Knowing a little about plumbing I was able to make it fill, but then it eould not stop running. Check in staff - pathetic---check out with Kathy (19 year ee) had to fix problems that other staff created. Toilet noisy after flushing Shower noisy. Narrow hallways and doors into the rooms. The bedrooms are not very sound proof. didn't get more shampoo the second day and and the maid just made bed . Nothing. The kids found the pool cold and wished there was a hot tub. The outside dirty streets left your vehicle very dusty. When I checked in with my pet they gave me a room that had not been carpet cleaned and was full of spots and smelled...they must have realized and called me and offered another room. poor airconditioning system. too hot in the room. They need to do something with the water pressure in the shower. I wish they had more parking spots. Early closing hours of the restaurant. Needs a new shower head. No breakfast free. A lot of traffic noise. Room temperature - we were not told that the room temperature was monitored at the front desk. We turned up heat and no heat came. cockroach by swimming pool. The shower pressure system needs improvement. The water basically trickles out. There were serious water temperature issues. Was burnt while showering. Didn't like not being able to use their breakfast coupon and rewards program because I didn't book direct with them. I don't think I will use your services again. Sorry. Take me off your mail list. Thank you. Breakfast was terrible. It was hot in the room with way to turn down the heat. The thermostat is dated even when turn way down it still hot. Which made uncomfortable. Air conditioning didn't work. Shower was poor and the temperature fluctuated from cool to nearly scalding. I did not like the outdated bathroom, nor the tiny pool.
