Roger, 21 August 2013 our second stay here in 2 weeks , previous stay 5 th August . as we transited here on our way to Bangkok hotel in good location not far from water front . extremely helpful staff. very clean and well designed room , good aircon and very large safety deposit box in room big enough for tablets and small laptops etc ,good choices for breakfast , comfortable bed and also nice long bench top in room to put your stuff on, nice large clean pool with towels provided . very enjoy.

I didn't know I had to reconfirm my bus ticket to Sihanoukville , hotel staff member chased it up for me and we made it for our bus on time , very clean and well designed room , good aircon and very large safety deposit box in room big enough for tablets and small laptops etc ,good choices for breakfast , comfortable bed and also nice long bench top in room to put your stuff on very enjoyable stay highly recommended , . I loved the service, the friendliness of the staff, how helpful they were when we asked them for suggestions/advice on sightseeing in Phnom Penh. They were very accomodating. Although we had only booked for one night, Jenny made some arrangements so that we could stay in the same room throughout our stay. Great swimming pool as well. Pnom Phen is a great place to visit. The biggest surprise I got was from the lovely friendliness of the cambodian people. The staff at the hotel are very curtious and helpful, and the bacon and eggs in the morning was fantastic!! Good location and plenty of tuk tuks to get you around, I Will definitely be going again!!. The location was excellent. The room was amazing with a really comfortable bed and brilliant shower. The breakfast was probably the best we've had on our travels. The surroundings of the rooms, restaurant and swimming pool was beautiful. A little bonus also was they let you print for free. Large room , nothing special inside but all facilities were were to be found , I had a terrace and wi- fi was provided and a swimming pool could be used free of charge. There is no elevator and it was difficult with the luggage on the stairs. The Billabong Hotel is a great value-for-money place to stay in Phnom Penh. It was in a very handy position and having such a large sized pool was amazing. In a place like Phnom Penh it is great to have a pool to relax in/around. The staff were helpful and efficient. It was nice and close o Romdeng restaurant, near the Central Market and Soriya shopping centre which was really convenient. Hotel is going thru renovations but has a pool. The staff was very friendly and gave us a better room on our request. After our complaint about the price for the taxi service they also gave a discount immediately. The wifi was very slow which shouldn't be the case with amount of money you're paying. I made a mistake with the date of the booking and still got charged for two nights but really that was my fault I just felt with the amount of money being paid they could have been more understanding. No elevator. None. everything fine. choice limited for breakfast (only if you stay for a week or more!). Nothing, thought it was great. The noise. People chatting around the pool at night, and the hosing down at 5.30 in the morning. Nothing. No kettle in room. Would be very small outlay for hotel, but so much more convenient for the traveller. No need to provide provisions, only kettle and cups and then I would say just about perfect for the budget conscious. not many eating places close by. The strict no visitor policy but understand the reasons. Brakesfast could be better..:D. Could have been a few dollars cheaper, just a few to feel value for money. Restriction on visitors coming to room. AC was meh Location meh Shower flooded. Small rooms. Toilets aren't the best in this part of the world :(. I just don't like the way breakfast was being serve. They can do better than that. Lack of basic amenities: no kettle, bathroom was outdated and shampoo/bath gel was not replenished. No slippers provided. Wifi access was provided but half the time it was not connecting or very slow. We did not like the location. Too far from the river. At first we got a very noisy room next to the swimming pool although we had asked for a very quiet room. On our request we got a better one. Also the pick up service from the airport was overpriced. After we complained we got a better price. We think that there are better hotels for the same price. For families with children it may be a good hotel not for elderly couples. We were offered a small and dark room. Tried to charge me $60.00 a night when my booking was $50.00/night, just a simple mistake??? Seems to be a Cambodian scam similar to Passaggio in Siem Reap where they tried to give me a basic room when I paid for a superior room. Food, restaurant. A lot of flies at night so could not eat their.
