On arrival in Battambang, the tuk-tuk driver from the hotel was waiting for us (free of charge). It took about 5' from the bus station to the hotel that is located on the east side of the river. It is a quiet setting within walking distance from the restaurants and shops (+- 5'). There is a small, good working elevator. Our room was spacious with a small balcony overlooking the river. Good working aircon., Lots of amenities in the bathroom and clean. Breakfast was plenty, sometimes buffet, some.
all reviews » The breakfast was good. The juice had a bit of an aftertaste. The meals at the restaurant were good and cheap. The bathroom in my room was lovely, I loved the shower head. I also think its great how close to town it is. Location with river view and the friendly helpful staff. The hotel was clean. Decoration was a bit old-ish, but with a little bit of imagination could be considered as authentic. It is value for money. I find the room is spacious and comportable. The bed is wonderful. Nesr to the city centre especially the Pasar Nath. I liked the indoor pool Fantastic bathroom. Nice place with large room. King Fy is a relatively cheap hotel, but the room was comfortable and Wi-Fi was included. The staff were friendly and efficient. The pool was cold because it's indoor the sun couldn't heat it up. The restaurant didn't really have western food options. There were choices of two sandwiches. Breakfast buffet was ... almost non-existing: all food trays empty or nearly empty and were not replenished (and staff didn't seem to bother). This was the case for the two mornings that we were there. Note that we went for breakfast around 8am, so not at the end of the shift. There are two computer at the lobby. One computer not working and the computer not working properly. The need to change the mouse. wifi very unstable. laundry came back with colored stains. Mini-bar not fully stocked. Shower was in bath, bed little uncomfortable. The inside pool was over chlorinated. Restaurant. Breakfast provided can be better. The location of the hotel is not great as it is across the river from the city itself. Nearby restaurants were limited, so dinner required a 15-20 minute stroll - or a tuk tuk. The hotel itself is getting a little tired. Several items listed in the room directory are no longer available, such as the mini mart in the lobby (empty) and the rooftop restaurant for cocktails watching the sunset (no longer available). Breakfast was minimal but servicable.
