The hotel room was really huge - 1 matrimonial and 2 single beds, the toilet was big as well. AirCo worked just fine (something really important if you are lodging in Manaus) and I had a view to the port from my room. There is also a restaurant where you can have dinner or just a sandwich, and this can be pretty handy after an exhausting day. It's located downtown. Plus, the staff was always kind, friendly; breakfast was quite decent. all reviews »
The hotel was conveniently located near the port and was within walking
distance for trips on the Amazon. The room had a great view of the
sunset across the Amazon. The breakfast was good with good view of the
river and skyline of Manaus.
I didn't know the area was quite dangerous to walk around in the night - kinda easy to get mugged according to many manaus residents i met. but there is plenty of taxis in that area.
Television did not work at all even after numerous complaints although
was not critical part of our stay. The top floor was just underneath the
restaurant and the staff started work at 5:30 am and moved
chairs/tables and made too much noise without any consideration to
the guests staying in the below floors. The fridge was too noisy and the
linens/towels were not changed for the 3 days we stayed there.
