Driving from UK to Germany, Steenhove B&B is located 3 minutes from motorway. Building itself is wonderful, a converted mushroom factory with barrel vaulted ceilings.
Owners were very accommodating & helpful. Small bar in hotel, but no restaurant; however, owner directed me to a great local restaurant 5 minutes drive away.

From the minute we stepped inside Dewaterzooi we loved it. We were met with a welcome drink and sat down at the table with the owners who told us what Ghent had to offer. Our room was lovely, looking out over the old castle walls and onto the bustling square below. We were made very welcome at the hotel and being from another country this always helps. A family run b&b so you get the personal touch that you don't recieve in bigger hotels.

The landlady was very kind to wait for me late in the evening on Saturday. The hotel is a masterpiece, I felt like being back in the past with all this old-fashioned furniture, paintings on the walls. The hotel is situated in belgian village, and this is so charming and recalling staying at grandma's site in childhood.

Very friendly and helpful host. Clean, warm and comfortable room. Angelique respected our request for a large firm bed and was kind enough to change our room after the first night. Good breakfast selection.
Close to motorway connections and plenty of space to park.
