  We were pleasantly surprised by the standard of accommodation at the Hotel Amfora which met all our needs perfectly. The room was delightfully spacious with lovely decor. Situated in the main town square this hotel is ideally situated. With it's exceptionally helpful staff, we would most certainly return and recommend this hotel to friends and fa... what people say » mily. - Character building with friendly, helpful staff. The position on Grote Markt is excellent and plenty of warm sunshine meant we could eat and drink on the terrace/pavement tables. The room was a great size and the bathroom was also a good size.

  THere was a really nice relaxed and friendly bar in the hotel with nice beers. The room was very clean and comfortable and the showeroom and toilet very nicely decorated. Good shower. We enjoyed being quite high up in the eaves. Breakfast room was beautifully decorated and relaxing and we ate very well. We parked in one of the many carparks - the town is really very nice. - The owners were very friendly and helpful, the rooms spotless, bright and quiet; similarly the bathroom. Beds provided a good night's sleep. Parking outside on a Sunday evening was easy and free. The town itself is lovely and a great place either to stop for the historic sites or en route before or after crossing the Channel. We will certainly stay there again.
