Very helpful personnel. Although ibis is right next to a train station, no noise coming from the station could be heard in my room. The WiFi Internet connection worked well most of the time, just in the evening there were problems with too many clients connected. In the night it gave a reliable 2/0.2 Mbit/s connection and sometimes even better. I could check-in at 10 am (officially you can check-in after 12) without a fee. A large bike parking lot right next to the hotel.
all reviews » The hotel is located a about 200m from the station exit, making it convenient to arrive by rail (as I did). There are quote a few bars and restaurants on the opposite side of the station, and various sandwich shops in the station concourse beneath the platforms. Proper restaurants can be found in the city Centre in Groot Markt which takes around 10-15 minutes to walk to, allowing a reconnaisance of a pleasant shopping street en-route. I liked everything. The personnel was very friendly and very helpful. They tried to help in everything. Location is perfect for either city trips or trips to another cities. Bike rent service - 2 minutes walk, railway station - 1 minute, center - 7 minutes. Very quiet place, everything is clean. There was no minibar in the room, but we could always ask a receptionist to put some food or beer in the refrigerator. Everything looked pretty new and clean. There was free wireless internet available everywhere which was reasonably fast and easy to use. The hotel is located directly at the station but due to good sound insulation you have no disturbance from the trains. This is the second time I stay in this hotel because I really like the location and convenience. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. It is a good option for those who want to know Leuven or even Brussels Leuven, paying little. Location. The car park is 5 minutes away and a main square with bars and restaurants is only about 6 minutes away. Layout. Lifts, breakfast and reception are all easy to find and very functional. Everything was very clean; the shower was AMAZING! Very modern decor. It is located directly beside the train station and above a supermarket so you can stock up if you wish :-) The center of Leuven (i.e. the Grand Palace with lots of great restaurants and bars) is a 10 min walk (1.3km) away. There were no garderobes at all. The breakfast isn't bad, but it just isn't worth €7.5. Travelling on business, I need to use WiFi to maintain contact and keep my customers informed when they request information from me. I found that the available bandwidth on the free WiFi became very poor as the evening progressed, although around 5pm it was fine. By 10pm, my email was struggling to make contact with the mailbox, spending long periods unable to reach it!. The room could have had somewhat more space to put clothes, etc. There is no closed bathroom but instead one "toilet cabin", one "shower cabin", and the sink is directly in the room. No kettle. Brought some hot chocolate but couldn't have any. "Free wifi" is next to useless. In four days I got only one period of working internet at 4am in the morning. Otherwise, it was so patchy it was unusable. It took me a day to download an 800KB file. The shower suddenly runs cold every few minutes, and in winter in belgium cold is freezing.If you don't need wifi, and learn to jump out of the shower when it goes cold, you can manage the hotel. -the shower has transparent door. Breakfast is always the same. - Room had 3 beds while there were only two towels in the room. Very little, but could offer a simple map of facilities in immediate vicinity...I.E. Police station, supermarket, parking, restaurants, etc. For obvious reasons, the reading lights should be at opposite sides of bed head, not in the middle. 1. No bath mat and water leaked under shower door soaking the floor. 2. Room very small and not many places to put clothes. 3. No hairdryer. 4. No free parking at hotel. Very small room (for two people, a double room is not recommended); there isn't a closet and the shower is separate from the wc. No hairdryer in the room (neither at the reception desk). Breakfast is not worthy and there's no free parking in the nearby. Price of the breakfast. None. Tiny desktop, very little space. Shower temperature very unstable (cycles from burning hot to cold every few seconds). no kettle. One single hair in the shower, the bed isn't that comfortable if you stay longer than 2 nights. no hot water for the shower in the morning. Parking is About €11 a day. I missed my egg for breakfast. Small room area, no sink in the toilet. the sink should be inside the bathroom, not out of the bathroom. not enough towels supplied had to go and ask for additional one. I could not access to the wifi. Very slow and unreliable WiFi connection (but it was nice when it worked!). poor design of shower door and angle of the shower head. leaky shower, window was locked and was difficult to sleep in triple room because of strong ventilation. No way for a vacation hotel. BED was the most uncomfortable I have slept in. small rooms no good wifi. The location. we were a family of four,2 adults 2 children, so we had to book 2 rooms,. Everything was fine. Breakfast. The beds were a little too hard for my liking and the breakfast was way over priced for what was available.
