It was a wonderful hotel in a perfect location. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and there were thoughtful special offers, such as the possibility to check out at 5 on a sunday, and have the breakfast buffet as late as 12.00 on sunday: there was also possibility to select one's favourite type of pillow! which i thought was simply wonderful. The beds were very comfortable. Great location on the square within walking distance of many points of interest. I intend to stay at the Grand Sablon whenever I happen to be in Brussels. A huge plus was the weekend special, which made it very affordable. Comfortable, spotless, staff very accommodating. Great charm and also calm and quiet. Excellent night's sleep.

The deal was 149 Euros for two nights including breakfast in a great location, super comfy beds and clean rooms. Breakfast was excellent. The best is the "endless Sunday" deal with breakfast until noon and a 5PM check-out! Fantastic!. Rooms were extremely well decorated, very good size and a great level of comfort. Staff were fantastically helpful and made staying there a pleasure. Will definitely be staying at this hotel next time and recommending to friends. A beautiful hotel in an excellent location! Also the cards to activate the elevator were a bit annoying to use. Could not control the heat so it was a bit warm at night. Could open the window easily, however. The walls and floors are a bit on the thin side...we could hear the people above us walking around on their high heels or heavy shoes and moving chairs around. The overhead shower only had cold water but the lower shower was fine.The fact that the check could be after 15:00. Noise from the corridor as the door was poorly soundproofed. Lock was not working so could not lock door from the inside. Parking. No place to park, and the hotel stafff did not recommend one. They say they have parking in the hotel, but they really don't. no foreign press on sunday but i think this has to do with Belgium's general distribution of newspapers on sunday. Breakfast. too hot, impossible to turn down heat. It was difficult to find. Breakfast buffet was ok in quality but the choice was very good (quantity).Setting the water temperature in the shower takes some time... :-). Shampoo/Bath gel smell was a bit strong and I had some problems activating the shower - minor stuff though :). Breakfast was not included in the deal and we found 25 Euros per person for breakfast expensive. However, there are nice little restaurants nearby open for breakfast at more reasonable rates. to loud ventilation. Lack of choice on the evening menu, so we ate elsewhere. There was actually one thing that was missing in the room: a mirror. There was one in the bathroom but no other.Check-in was a little inefficient (queuing for 15mins). offers to loyal customers. Room was very hot and the shower was difficult to use. Signs in the room offered a late Sunday check out but the staff gave us a hassle that we hadn't informed them. This requirement was not mentioned on the sign and the one staff member at the desk was quite rude about it.The lift needs the room card to work, this is difficult if you are sharing with someone as you only get one room key. hotel bar and restaurant closed for the christmas and new year period.
