Although free wifi was available it barely reached the rooms; signal strength was very low. The roadworks outside, and the beeping of diggers reversing at 6am on a Saturday. Also they should be more ecofriendly as I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and my towels were changed and they had thrown away my little soap, so I had to open another one. That was unnecessary. But all in all it was good value for the price I paid.A noisy environment around the hotel because of some work in progress. not really.The street in front of the hotel was going through a complete construction and hence the access to the hotel was blocked except for a narrow walking path.Moreover the construction crew would show up early in the morning and start digging etc and the noise didnt allow us to sleep. Breakfast too expensive. Everyone said that the rooms were rather warm and the air conditioninghad little or no effect. I would have liked tea-/coffee-making facilities in the room. Selection of TV-channels was not very good.I asked fo non-smoking room and got smoking one. It's in a side-street and although its 5 mins walk from the central train station and in the middle of the city, it's a little hard to find.No free bar facilities access: on our arrival at the hotel, our request for tea in the afternoon be served on bar has not been performed; This is not compatible with the standing level of the hotel. Would have liked tea /coffee facilities in the room.prices of drinks and snacks in the mini-bar are outrageous. major road works, no gym even though the website and pictures in the hotel said there was a gym.I could not pay with my credit card...to be improved!. Breakfast not included in the rather high room price. Room not nice enough to be a 4 star. Bad view from the window. Hairdryer very old and not working. No coffee making facilities in the room, no room service. This is really only a 3 star hotel at best, I don't know how it has 4 stars. Staff are really cold and unfriendly.The wi-fi connection does not always work and the PC in the hall is pretty slow. After checking in for two different rooms at 22.00 with another colleague of mine, we were both woken up by the recption who had forgotten to note which room exactly had been given to each of us. Second organisational issue: we stayed one night, checked out in the morning and were called back a few hours later saying that we had not checked out!!. No parking. the bed cover was dirty, the air conditioning did not work, a used tray was left in the corridor for teo days.No wi-fi internet access to all rooms. Elevator didn't work for 2 days. On the second night of the stay, a leg on one bed had gone missing for some reason. Also staff couldn't provide a good map of the city, just a useless photocopy of a bad street map, making a trip to the Tourist Information necessary. Temperature control can be improved: it was too warm in the room.The rooms on the 4th floor are definitely not 4 stars and therefore muchtoo expensive: heating was possibly only through a very noisy over-dimensioned aircondition system; run-down bath-room; a second room inthe 1st floor was nicer and more modern, but quite some noise from thestreet (although it is only a side-street). wi-fi (one of the reasons I chose this hotel) rarely worked. found lots of hair on the "fresh" towels + in the bath when arrived. v. noisy, though it's not really the hotel's fault; there were some construction works outside + garbage collected at 4 am!. Prices of products in mini bar: Coca Cola 4,5 €; Mineral Water 4 €, Pringles 8 €; Chocolate bar 12 €;. Tea/coffee making was not available in the room. TV selection was poor. Not so easy to find.Surrounding is very noisy due to streets and buildings renovation works. The air conditioner did not work at all!.

Travelling information

By Train:
Leave the central station and take the street in front of you (Rue de la Putterie). This turns into Rue Duquesnoy. Follow this street to Place St. Jean Square. Once you are at the square, take the 2nd turning on the left and go up Rue Lebeau. Before the Place du Sablon roundabout, turn left into Rue de la Paille. You will find the hotel at the end of Rue de la Paille.

By Plane:
A taxi journey from the airport to the hotel will take between 25 and 30 minutes.

A train journey from the airport to the central station will take 30 minutes.
