Johannes gave us our choice of family rooms and arranged for the wonderful Bob's Tours (ask for Peter to be your guide);Lalith and Alberto were always friendly and helpful.   I spent two nights at Hotel Rosenvilla, and couldn't have been happier with my choice. Service was impeccable, and Stephanie warrants special mention for having assisted me in finding the hotel, to the point she actually drove to meet me and lead me there (how humiliating!). The hotel is outside the old town of Salzburg, and there is bus stop a 2-... what people say » minute walk away which either takes you to the old town, or connects up with other buses. The parking is somewhat limited, but never caused me a probl - The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful and really made our surprise birthday trip with all of their attention to detail. The room was large and spacious, the bed comfortable and the bathroom excellent. Breakfast was superb and well worth the money, and the location outside the city centre is no problem as it's easily walkable (15 minutes along the river) or 5 minutes by bus. I would return to this hotel without hesitation.
