Location is absolutely perfect, directly on the banks of the river with a 2 minute walk to Altstadt in one direction and a 2 minute walk to night life and Mirabel castle in the other direction. The rooftop bar, Stein Terrasse is a very hip and trendy place and a excellent spot to start or end the night with a coffee or cocktail. The price on LetsBookHotel.com was unbeatable, 50% less then other guests.

A good place for a short break, though the room on the small side for a longer one.Unfortunately having a room at the back, a room at the front overlookingthe river would have been superb. It would be nice if they had a mini frig.The only problem for those who have a car is that the garage at Mirabell is not very near. I felt as though I were going blind. We had a car and the parking was located about 3 blocks away, that was a big hassle. I probably would not stay there again. You could reach the walls with your fingers from one wall to the other.lights in room very dim, hard to read at night. No dinner or lunch menu at the roof top restaurant - real shame!. No tea/coffee facilities in room, no room service and no iron in room. Reception staff were very good. All other staff were unfriendly. Booked a non-smoking room which took staff a great deal of time and then reluctantly agreed to move us to another room which was inferior to the one booked.Very poor lighting, extremely uncomfortable beds, over-heated rooms. I got a back-street room. Saturday night I could not sleep because of the people yelling outside the bar just across the street. Sunday night I had to listen to the noise of garbage removal. When we got into the room, the toilet was not clean. The radiator in the bathroom was broken and did not work.The hotel needs a renovation, its too old.

Travelling information

Highway exit Salzburg Süd (south) direction city center. Follow the Alpenstraße straight ahead and cross the river Salzach at Nonntaler Brücke. After the bridge turn left into Imbergstraße. The Imbergstraße leads into Giselakai. Our hotel is on right hand side directly at the main bridge called Staatsbrücke.
