Great customer service - I appreciated the phone call before I arrived
and that I was asked if I wanted a room with a view. It was lovely to
look out and see the lights of Sydney. Fabulous location right near
ferry and I enjoyed the lovely Thai restaurant 100m down the road and
the fabulous (very popular) cafe at the ferry wharf. Thank you!. all reviews
The lodge is just 15 min from Circular Quay, giving the opportunity to cross between the Bridge and the Sydney Opera House every time to get to the CBD. Nice place to stay, comfortable, clean, and you get nice staff to help you with any matter. You can cook by yourself in their kitchen and also wash your clothes.
Nice welcome, rooms are functional and clean. If you are not too fussy and don't mind sharing a large clean bathroom, then save yourself 150 dollars a night. The location was really easy to get to from the airport by train, and it is a 100m walk to the ferry that takes you to circular key and the opera house.
The location was ideal for us as we wanted to go to the Opera House on 2 occasions. The short walk to the ferries was ideal. The separate kitchen was a good feature. Beds were very comfortable. Parking was handy. Parked the car Friday and did not move it till Monday.
The bathroom was brand new and had a large shower with good water pressure.
As my I smoke, the verandah in front of room 20 was a huge bonus.
I was visiting a patient staying at the Northside Clinic and the motor lodge is literally a 2 minute drive up the road.
The location is perfect: it is quite and only 3 minute walk from Neutral Bay ferry wharf. From there you can enjoy a nice and scenic ferry ride to Circular Quay in only 10 minutes. Bathrooms are renovated. Owners are very nice and helpful.
Easy ferry trip to Neutral Bay from Circular Quay. Beds and linens were
nice. The manager, Alex, was outstanding, but she is moving (a definite
loss). The Thai restaurant nearby was outstanding. Easy bus ride to the
grocery store.
Location, free-parking, close to ferry, comfortable bed, free dvd rental, modern, homely, other guests friendly, good vibe, not much contact with staff but knew where to find them,.

Great little hotel close to the city and ferry, easy to find and nice and close to Military Road for some great restaurants. Staff we very welcoming.

The couple running Neutral bay Lodge is awesome !!!!! Soo friendly,helpful...felt so welcome !!! The short way down to the ferry and the short ride with the ferry to get round the corner to see the amazing opera house & the city is not tirening but relaxing and a pleasure !!! On the way to the ferry there is a fantastic café where you get delicious breakfast or lunch and a little has everything shop with a very friendly and helpful owner ,too !! Allday shops ( post,bank,supermarket...) are .

The drier wasn't working that well. But it's nothing compared with the pros.

Room 20 could do with some more updating. Perhaps a table and chairs and a cabinet would be a useful addition so tea and coffee tray doesn't just sit on the top of the exposed bar fridge.
Carpet everywhere, cleanliness ok but could still be improved (kitchen).
The shared bathroom seemed odd at first, but it's new and well-
maintained. Ask for room 11 for quiet (triple twin). Some other
travelers complained of noise in road-facing rooms.
Shared bathrooms not normally my thing, but these were OK! Couldn't get wifi to work on macbook, but didn't try too hard either.

The passage light illuminated the bedroom all night due to a glass window above the door. It was difficult to sleep.
The ensuite floor tiles were loose and dangerous .need fixing!.

There is no safe deposit in the rooms ! Our room is in very need to get renovated and modernised ! The bathroom is tiny !! There is no cupboard for hanging up the clothes ! we could hear every word spoken at the reception !.
It has a backpackers feel about it . No outlook from the room (the window looks out at a blank brick wall ). The TV that had very poor reception.

Very hot. No airconditioner. Windows can not be left open as no security
screens. Noisy location as on a corner. Left hotel three days pre paid
early as not comfortable to sleep.
Not a single shelf nor a wardrobe were to store the clothes.
No tv that worked. No air con, noisy , old , cramped bathroom just a 2star hotel really. Expensive for what it was.
