Location is perfect, arrived round 11am and able to check in early, staff very polite/courteous/helpful!! Disagree room to small, large enough to be comfortable and relaxed within. Was worried re previous reviews but believe the negatives arise as people forget the price they have paid to stay. (your not paying for a 5 star hotel, although our experience could be described as 5 star) Excellent hotel, cheap compared to others in Darling Harbour! Buffet breakfast amazing!! Hotel restaurant had in. all reviews
It's a really good hotel, no real luxury, smallish rooms, but works
great! Impressive attention to detail, very ergonomic room design.
Higher floors have a great great view of darling harbour mad the bridge,
couldn't get enough of it every day! Stayed 6 days. Oh and the
breakfast is amazing too. Very fresh. 10/10 for location,
cleanliness, convenience. Hop skip and jump to convention centre, and
the water (darling harbour) loved it!! Exceeded expectation.
The location and my room with a view on the 10th floor....the best.the
staff were really great.the monorail made getting into the cbd easy.I
Liked the shopping complex in the bay and the bars,cafes and restaurants
there.the taxis outside was agreat service.Thoroughly recommend this
hotel.thank you for making my stay all that I had wished for,.
I wrote to the manager about my stay which was one of the options when you first sent me this email. I mentioned the light rail connection to the hotel was hard to find. That has been looked into by Novatel and Ibis staff and signs may be erected in the car park to identify the entrance to the light rail station.
I liked the 5 minute rule and also the fact because it was our Wedding Anniversary we were upgraded which was great. We were then upgraded again to the Novatel Hotel next door what great experience will come back again, Location in Darling Harbour is excellent, Thanks Ibis we had a great stay.
That the staff were very friendly. Was impressed by the promise of the 15 minute fix it rule, no that we had to use this rule.

Great location, welcoming reception staff who made real effort to please and seemed genuinely happy with their job. Offered extra help eg asking if we would like our bags stored at checkout which we had not thought about but was very helpful. Excellent help from Habib.
Location - perfect as we went to the Lyric Theartre to see Blue man Group.

Location on Darling Habour was excellent and I had a room with a Harbour view. It was well placed for shopping and all the sights. The metro station was just outside the hotel. Very good value for money and the staff were friendly and very helpful.
The staff were excellent the room was lovely and comfortable the location was really great, we came on the light rail and the conductor even told us how to find the Ibis when we got off, we were very impressed with everything.
first of all I was upgraded to Novatel group of accor and the staffs were very cooperative. The location of the hotel is wonderful and the view from the room specially the darling harbour was excellent. Food was also good.
walking distance to star casino and attraction. With the joy of monorail if you ride the monorail. breakfast buffet was delicious with great selections. staff was friendly and very helpful.

Great location - very close to walking bridge to the other side of
Darling Harbour. Good serviceable, not many frills hotel, but clean and
tidy, eco-toiletries replaced when used.

Handy to Sydney Convention Centre and cheaper than most other
accommodation in the area. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet, though
small. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Really nice place to stay! Great view, ultra clean, confortable, very close to Darling harbour. Not so expensive regarding location.
Staff helpfull (even at 11:45 pm).
The beds were comfy, blockout curtains were good. We had visitors and they could just come right up without us having to go let them in. The location was amazing.

Getting a room at 10am after a long flight. Was expecting to store bags, but got a room instead! Bonus!.

The $40 parking which allowed us the leave our car there until 4pm after
we had checked out at 11am.
If you want a hotel with a fabulous location this is hard to beat. It is clean and VERY well located.

no smoking inside the hotel, at least they should have made one dedicated space for smoking in one corner of the hotel.
rooms were smaller than we expected but still overall a great stay since we weren't in our rooms much anyways.
No free wi-fi; really, how much would it cost you to provide wi-fi? Virtually nothing. It doesn't really matter much because I have 3G data access on my i-Pad, never mind.
It would be nice to have a wide screen tv rather than the little old narrow screen.
I didn't understand how to set the alarm clock - but I have an alarm in my phone which is easy to use.

My shower had a bit of mould. There were only two pillows on the bed. On checking out we had to wait for 5-10 minutes for any lifts to get to our level.

The room was a little bit smaller than expected for what was a "Superior Double Room".
With regards to parking - your booking confirmation mentioned parking was available at $35.00 per day. On checkout the young lady informs us that it was a flat rate of $40.00 a day, I did question this but did not argue or insist on only paying $35.00. Then when leaving the car park we were horrified when we placed our ticket in the machine and it quoted us a price of $60.00 for the two days, not happy.
It would be nicer if the free WI FI was available in the rooms as well as the reception area for 60 mins over the day.

The service provided by staff was very basic. No car spots available when we got there.
Fantastic to have 3 good sized mirrors, but unfortuantely the lighting was not good for applying makeup. Better light in the bathroom or at one of the other mirrors, and/ or a small mirror in front of the window's natural light would be appreciated.

Breakfast buffet was a little bit overpriced for $20pp, I would probably
go elsewhere next time. Would also have been useful to have somewhere to
put luggage, I.E. foldable luggage stand - so that you don't have to

Not enough staff on front desk when we arrived, mid afternoon on Friday, so had to wait a long time to check-in.

They can a locate few rooms for the smoker guest, it is a healthy to apply non smoking policy but some of our friend in the hotel express their anger.

The parking is far too expensive, and so was the breakfast. Forty
dollars for two is a bit steep, we would not have eaten forty dollars
worth of food between the two of us.

while the decor had been upgraded the finishing / paintwork were below average. Too small basin in bathroom -needed more shelves or a shelf near the socket /plug. Paint peeling& crumbling in places. All a bit Budget and a bit small for 2 adults, but the location and friendliness of staff made it a good experience.

The cost was quite high compared to our stay in Singapore where we only paid $200 per night and the room was more modern and a lot larger.
