My partner and myself booked the shuttle bus for the following morning and accidently left our tickets in the room. We told the shuttle bus driver we just needed to grab a copy from the reception desk just inside. Rather than putting our bags into the bus whilst I ran inside the driver argued with my partner and said he "didnt have time for this" and drove away as I was running back out the front, leaving me and my partner there in need of transport to the airport. all reviews » My trip was due to a last minute cancellation leaving me stranded. From this perspective the internet facilities appear very pricey for modern standards/pricing. The late night KFC and 24 hour McDonalds was handy in terms of at least having something to eat/drink for more budget conscious customers. The distance to the venue was also within a very short walk negating the need for a taxi or even shuttle bus. The location is very good, only 10 minutes walk from T2. They were well organised on checkin, the key was waiting for me in an envelope. For a budget hotel it was clean, the bed was firm & comfortable. I liked the breakfast option, and $8 for parking is cheap compared to other options at the airport. Fast food outlets are less than 5 minutes walk away. Very convenient to the airport for an overnight stop. While very basic, it had a good shower, (the best water flow and mixer valve experienced in two weeks travelling in Australia including some much more expensive accommodation,) a good comfortable bed, a clock radio that worked, good quality toilet paper and effective quiet air conditioning. I liked the staff (they were so friendly and courteous), the location and the facilities, with out a doubt I would say it is an excellent place to stay while travelling between cities. I would recommend it to any other person also. I stayed one night in this hotel, with my family while I was travelling to Melbourne, we all liked it.... A perfect choice for anyone needing to be near to the domestic or international airport. Even though right on the edge of the airport, there was no aircraft noise inside the hotel. The hotel fulfilled its purpose, which is to provide a clean budget hotel near the airport. The beds were comfortable, the water was hot, the A/C worked well, and we weren't disturbed by aircraft noise. It was a very good option for us because many hotels near airports are expensive. We only checked in late after 9pm but the room was as we expected, clean, comfortable and exactly what we needed for a tired day's activities. There were no hassles with checking in at that time and everything was seamless and smooth. Checking out was also seamless and hassle-free. For example it was exactly 10 am Sunday snd the breakfast had closed but they sllowed me snd my 7 yo son to have s continental breskfast. The silence. Could not hear any noise. That said, if I was stuck on a future trip I would be happy to come again or recommend the venue at any rate. For a one night stop, prior to an early flight, nothing. We found that the bathroom was about as small as it could be. I imagine that people who were less mobile or were bigger than average would have had some difficulty. I would have preferred to be able to open a window for fresh air - however, the A/C worked so there was cool air. The lack of a bar fridge or a hot water flask for a drink after hours. Maybe if this is not possible, how about complimentary bottles of plain water left in the room. Guests may choose to consume it or not but at no extra charge if they do?. Only fast food restaurants within walking distance. Not on public transportation lines. Taxi drivers were leery about picking up customers from this hotel and then only for fares to the city. Your elevators were very grotty could do with a good wipe inside and out that's about all, other than everything else was great!. Nill. No spare bedding...could have done with extra blankets. It was a cold night ! No other option but fast food outlets nearby. Can't make tea or coffee in room. A shame the bathroom floor is wet after each shower. But not a big problem at all. The domestic airport rail station was much closer but has an extra $16 charge to use. We were penny pinching so walked to & from Mascot Rail 3 times during our stay. I have bad knees and found it a little too far. I missed the comfort of having a jug / fridge in the room. Id still prefer to pay a few $ extra to have tea/coffee available in room. I would like to be able to open a window if it was a cool night. I would only stay overnight for convenience to airport......the family rooms are very compact & basic so you wouldn't want to spend much time in the room. That suited us perfectly. Private shower same floor as rest of bathroom so after a shower the entire floor is wet. Not such a problem as I was staying by myself but if I was sharing with others (room allowed three people) then it'd require a good number of towels on the floor. Not really a big deal though!. Nothing. A bit far from the bus and train into town but not a hassle if you can walk and dont have too much luggage. Be nice to see a kettle / tea- coffee in the room. Tey are serviceable but I prefer the shower to have a rim around the base so water doesn't flow everywhere. There used to be a vending machine containing meals that could be heated in the microwave which were a good alternative to the fast food nearby. The vending machine now only contained soups and noodles and the staff advised that it rarely worked and we would probably lose our money. This area had a closed for cleaning sign both times we stayed over a 2 week period. The only alternatives were expensive restaurants at hotels nearby or a taxi to Mascot. Re; name change, I booked as a Formula One, so was a bit anxious that I wasn't at the right place. All good tho. There was only 1 pillow per person which made it a very uncomfortable sleep for me. Also the walls had a lot of scuff marks. No bar fridge or tea or coffee facilities in room. Only 2 towels for 3 persons - a very minor issue. The shower drainage is a little slow, the floor gets very wet making it hard to keep dry feet. Very plain and simple rooms. Nothing. It was what we were expecting however perhaps a few more details on hotel website of what it doesn't have so people aren't disappointed (tea,coffee in room, two towels only). Everything was fine nothing to complain about thanks. There was no facilities to make a cup of tea in the room or even to boil a cup of water. In the morning breakfast should start at 4am at least some cereals or even toast and tea /coffee. Also they should provide their own means of transport since taxi drivers don't like to take passengers to this destination. They complain it's too near and there are at a loss. floor area in bathroom - water everywhere only way to contact reception by my mobile. Very stark and not welcoming, built along prison lines We had to ask for towels and the coffee machine in the breakfast room did not work very well. Wasn't advised of renovations in reception, dining area when I booked online. They didn't affect my stay but its good to know what to expect when you walk in. A bit far away from Sydney airport terminal 1. We went to the wrong terminal and it cost us 5 person AUD31 from terminal 2-terminal 1.
