The staff was very accommodating to me checking in just prior to when they opened up midday and were helpful with information on the busses to the city and back and with storing my luggage prior to my flight schedule. The location is just a short walk from Newtown which is a great neighborhood and has good restaurants that have more realistic pricing than in the city. Great shops, too. It is a relatively short cab ride to the airport.

The new beds are super comfy, clean and quiet.....forget about those expensive 5 star hotels with the snooty staff, go to the Ibis as Sy Peters, you wont be sorry...besides all that there is a kfc and a Macdonalds right outside the front door! Fine dining and a wonderful location with friendly staff and comfy beds???? Go to the ibis!!!. a comfy bed and nice linen and towels, great shower head for shower, did not need a printout for the booking, had my details from previous stay, nice staff, close to Newtown area, can walk to train to go to city very fast, bus stop near the hotel, good parking if you drive, close to M5 tunnel & airport. I like handbasin in main room with large mirrors. Plenty of taxis out the front. Located close to Sydney airport- $20 taxi ride. Walking distance to St Peters train station and not much further to resturants in Newtown. The room with a combined shower/ toilet cubicle is small however suitable for budget priced accommodation. The room was clean & the bed & pillows comfortable. We will stay again when visiting Sydney for an overnight or weekend visit. Reasonable location, a 10 minute walk from the station for trains to Sydney or the airport. Right next door to McDonalds or kfc for something cheap or the Southern Cross Hotel just down the road for pub grub was excellent. Plenty of free parking and within a mile of a bustling suburb for restaurants, shops etc. Good value for your money, staf very helpfull. Right on the bus route , and no need to change busses or trains to get right down town. Beds are sooo! Comfortable as well. Stayed at 4 Ibis accomodations and would do it again any time. Breakfast though a bit scarce was adequate. Staff always had a smile for you. Closeness to airport. Within walking distance of downtown Newtown with many dining options available. Great value for money considering the location, also off street parking a big advantage. Staff were very helpful especially as I had accidentally booked the wrong date through Internet booking. It was really close to bus stops to go into the city plus it was a short drive to the airport. Staff were very helpful with advice for the area. It had McDonald's (free wifi) right next door. Room was small but good for a night or two. Free coffee was available in the lobby in the morning. The receptionists are very friendly. The location is just 15 minutes drive from the city. Just one minutes walks to Mcdonald and kfc, or even less than that. Free parking available. The room is clean and very comfy. The toilet is really small. But the price is cheap so I think is fine!. Proximity to Airport (10mins drive) Easy access to circular quay by bus 422 (30mins) In between KFC and Macdonalds, hungry jacks is just down the road also good for people who are looking for a cheap and simple place to hold up free parking close to newtown, coles, ikea etc. Ibis budget hotels are pretty basic,okay for 2 people but not with a 16 year old as well.The extra bed is okay for small children.Everything else is good about the hotel,location proximity to Mcdonalds and KFC.Staff at the hotel were excellent and extremely helpful. Look if you are looking for a very cheap and very clean place to crash before or after you are flying somewhere its perfect . Thanks to all the staff, who were very helpful even to the point of helping me book flights when they were flat out. No complaints. helpful front desk guy moved us to ground floor room as we had lots luggage and there was no lift, we didnt have to ask for that; free near parking; good nights sleep; hot shower if basic; avail of fridge, iron etc was nice to know. I liked the staff and the beds were clean and comfortable. I also liked the location between Macca's and KFC. We stayed there to attend a concert at the Enmore Theatre. We will stay there again. I like you could open the window. A funny little hotel but perfect for just a place to sleep before or after a flight at a great price. No problems with check in, room was fine. Next to a heap of take away restaurants for a quick bite to eat. rooms were quiet. The staff were fabulous very professional at check in and check out. They tracked down and returned a camera we had left behind, thanks to one special person the cleaner named Rowenia. The service was the same as a 5*. Refurbished twin rooms modern and clean; great location close to pubs, train station and McDonalds; new LCD TVs in rooms. Stay here often to go to footy matches and will keep coming back. The hours for the desk staff to be on duty were a little odd, a two hour break in the middle of the day and none on duty after 10pm. It was a chilly night (Late July). Not enough covers on the bed, the heater was woefully undersized for the room and quit blowing even the lukewarm air it had struggled with after a short while (of course it happened after 10pm). Interesting shower/toilet set-up. No water heating in the room for tea/coffee and no microwave in the lobby. No elevator. Nothing!!! Maybe a vacuum over the carpet in the hall but I,m being super picky!. Poor access for pedestrians onto the road straight out from the hotel entry as it is designed for people to arrive and depart by their own car. Need timetable for the bus 422 in the room. Need to be careful to cross the road in front of the hotel. King size bed takes up a lot of floor space in the small room. A queen size bed would allow more room to store luggage. On the 1st floor one had to keep the blinds down for privacy. Possibly some privacy covers could be put on the bottom half of the windows. Breakfast left a bit to be desired. No hair dryers available in the hotel. The only thing that's not really happy with is the staff suddenly open my room's door and said room service. No fridge (they have a common fridge) toilet is a bit too small small room but hey you get what you pay for.... Nothing really,just above mentioned. Nothing. it was economy so I was happy with less comfort, we had a short night then early flight, was happy with being there. The shower needed a good clean with domestos or some other bleach product. There was mould around the soap dish, wall and floor and another persons hair. We stated there would be 3 of us, but the top bunk, being the third bed was not made up and there were only 2 towels. Bit small and pokey but for the price you couldn't expect more. There was no sheet ,only a blanket for the second traveller and we got in after dinner too late to ask for one. The maintenance on the room needed some attention. Nothing really that ruined the stay. You can't expect 5* when you pay 2* so overall value for money. The tiny closet bathroom. Hard mattress. Taxi fare from airport was $20 there & $25 back making the $76 hotel room not so cheap in the end. We would have been better off staying at the Formula 1 at the airport for $106. the carpeting needs to be replaced due to smell. no tea kettle in room which would have been nice to have. a wash cloth would be a welcome item to the towel. The smell of the nearby MacDonalds and KFC cooking made me feel nauseous in the car park, and there was a very untidy area by their bins opposite the hotel. Also wifi was expensive. We were very disappointed at not having a fridge or tea-making facilities in our room. Community fridge was very dirty. Toilet and basin were not cleaned each day. Towels or sheets were not changed - we were there for five nights. Only one chair in room for two people. Room extremely small. i didn't like the step up into the toilet and shower it felt like a portaloo. We asked the shuttle to take us to our booked hotel and late at night he dropped us here and left. The staff helped us contact the other hotel in the confuseion of name changes. It cost us double the other hotel but worked out ok being near the airport. Walls, floors, carpet and bathroom weren't very clean. Reception area can get noisy and this distrupted my sleep. Sometimes food smells from nearby restaurants crept in the room and we found this uncomfortable. Not enough towels and sheets in the room. Was disappointed that there were no hot drink facilities in the room. Was dying for a cup of tea in my room. You could buy coffee from the vending machine. The shower cubicle had no curtain, part of the design, so the floor of the toilet became saturated. For one night, I coped. Lots of noise outside since the room was facing KFC....traffic and pedestrian noise was annoying. Hotel room window doesn't shut out much noise. Bed was too close to side wall, not a lot of room to get out. Needed a bath mat. Would have liked tea and coffee in the room. Tinted windows or sheer curtain enabling us to leave them open whilst dressing, etc. Rooms are a bit small, but you get what you pay for. There were no screens on the windows and we were eaten alive by Mosquitos. No tea available in room. unclean, commotion due to drunk guest at night (friday night). The staff on the front desk when we arrived and again when we left (same person) was not welcoming. First impressions are huge and she didn't have any customer service or connection. I'm not sure she liked her job. nowhere to sit anything in the shower. A little bit far away from the city centre (from an european point of view). No refrigerator. Not cosy. bathroom/shower facility very small. Noise in the hallway. Carpet, walls, celing and doors could be better cleaned. TV reception was utter rubbish. It was too basic for us. WE should have gone somewhere else and paid more. Small rooms but your only there to sleep.
