Very friendly & accommodating staff. Facilities great, stayed two
consecutive nights in a studio twin & two bedroom apartment. Very
well appointed, comfortable rooms. We moved to the two bedroom
apartment, so Staff moved bags between rooms for us while we were out,
which was fabulous customer service & very much appreciated. Will
definately return, however will request to stay in higher floor rooms as
was a little noisy on 7th floor in studio room. Awesome location, close
to darling. all reviews
One was not pressured into early rising to please the housemaids. We slept in late every day as you should on holidays. The near shopping centres were wonderful as were all the food courts and restaurants. There is no shortage of entertainment near by, as well as cruises in the harbour, sight seeing etc. The staff were friendly and curtious and we will definitely be returning on our next holidays.
The location is perfect! With a short walk (<5mins) you can take the light rail to central station and the bus stop with buses to circular quay (including 555) just in front of the hotel!
Haymarket and chinatown are about 5 mins walk from the back door.
Room is big ( for 4 pax), clean and nice! bed is extremely comfortable and the price is reasonable ( ~aud 700 for 4 nights excluding weekend)!.
The room was spacious, clean and contained all we needed for a very relaxing 6 night stay. It is close to the Central station, tram stop and buses. The markets are just across the street and there is a great variety of dining choices including the restaurant in Breakfree.
1) Hotel location was perfect ! Easily accessible to all the main sights in Sydney (Opera House, Darling Habour, Harbour Bridge, QVB, Sydney Sea Life, etc. Paddy's market was just a short walk away!
2) Kitchenette was simple but sufficient enough to prepare simple meals.
1. Safe place to stay, in and out from the hotel after hour need Room key card (that was an good idea).
2. The Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.
3. The Hotel Location was very good location - easy excess to most shopping complex.
4. Very easy to book for a room.
I liked that this place is so close to everything the city has to offer, there are heaps of great restaurants, shopping and plenty of other things to see and do.
The 5 of us slept quite comfortably,
Its clean and modern and generally a very nice place to stay.
Bart at the reception desk was absolutely amazing. Beyond helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Stayed in two rooms. First was just adequate, second on 12th floor was really nice. A little far away from harbor, but could walk anywhere, good exercise.
Easy walk from Central Station. Ideal location to get to the Entertainment Centre. Outside door on Sussex Street is Chinatown - a great place to eat and shop.
Hotel Staff helpful, friendly and polite and prompt with requests for extra towels etc.
Really loved the location of the hotel, it was so close to China town where we had some fabulous meals in some authentic little chinese restaurants. Not that far to walk anywhere and the room we had was very quiet. Staff very helpful.
Clean, tidy, comfortable, close to all attractions, staff very helpful and not like the reviews that I had read prior to staying. Lovely breakfast and reasonably priced. Would stay again and recommend to others travelling to Sydney.
I've chosen the right location for the training venue which had an
early start. Very central and easy to find the way around the cbd.
I'm impressed with the cleanliness of the room.
My bed linen are tidied-up each time.
The layout of the apartment was very good and having 2 bathrooms with 5 people made life very easy. The outlook was great. The offer to stay longer was exceptional value although we couldn't take advantage this time.
Location was excellent. The young lady on the desk when we arrived was exceptional throughout. The room was clean and comfortable. The shuttle bus to and from the airport was excellent. All my requests were granted.
Great location. Short walk to Darling Harbour and city centre. Hay Market around the corner and plenty of restaurants close by. Nice studio appt- quite spacious for the location. good value for Sydney.
The room was great, we loved having a large comfortable couch in the
room, was a good size, all we could have asked for, also great having
some cooking facilities and the location was great.
Shared the 2 bedroom with my business partner nice and roomy with kitchen. Good to relax but have your own space, great location pleasant stroll to anything with lots to see along the way.
Location was fantastic. Easy walk to Darling Harbour and the ferry. Close to the central train and bus stations when we headed out to visit friends. Free city loop bus across the road.
Very central to Chinatown - but moreover very near to another hotel
where I was attending a conference but the accommodation price at the
conference hotel way out of my price range.
Staff very helpful, and comfortable beds. The room at the back of the hotel had views and reasonably quiet, 5th floor. Very central area, near Paddy`s Market and China Town.
The staff were fantastic. The motel was in a perfect spot only a short walk to china town, darling harbour, lots of restaurants and not too far from circular quay.
Clean and friendly. Location is absolutely perfect for travellers. Room
size was okay with sofa,tv and adequate space to move. Kitchenette has
basic utensils.
*Concierge was friendly
* Decent views of George St CBD
* Liked the security and safety
* Loved the balcony
* Also liked the satisfaction of the sofa bed.
Convenient to all public transport, walking distance to darling harbour and surrounding attractions. No problems with room. Very enjoyable stay.
Walking distance to the Central Station and bustops to the City and Bondi. Very convenient location. Many restaurants around. We loved our stay!.
Returning from an overseas trip we found the bed was the most
comfortable we had slept in for 3 weeks. Australia looks after their
travellers.
Great location, close to stations. Comfortable beds and clean rooms, helpful staff and excellent value for money. I would stay there again.
The hotel was in the perfect spot close to paddys and shopping as well as well as close to the train station will definately stay again.
Great area to stay. Our room was quiet and plenty of room. Loved the space and balcony size . Will stay again and reccommend to other.
Room was big enough for all of us to fit comfortably. The room had a nice view from 15th floor and kitchen/bathrooms were very good.
Back rooms of complex very good, reasonably quite. Extremely comfortable
beds and pillows. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff.
The Staff were great and central location. We stayed in the 2 bed apartment on 16th floor and even saw fireworks a few days in a row.
Very helpfully and easy to get to all the tourest places using the trains and bus. Very big and clean room. Would go back there.
It was close to everything, comfortable and clean and great to retreat to after the hustle and bustle of being out all day.
1 - Booking in was hassle free and quick
2 - rooms were very clean & well equipped
3 - convenient location.
the staff were very helpful the room was clean and the bed very comfortable I will stay there again.
Close to the city.
Limited self-catering.
Clean and comfy and good sized room.
Nice bathroom.
The closeness of attractions, the convenience of having the free shuttle
and Chinatown nearby.
the room, lounge, bathroom , microwave and utensils, the view to the west, and very quiet.
I liked the room configuration having 2 bathrooms, it was clean and close to everything.
It was central, staff were knowledgeable of the area, they were friendly and obliging.
Perfect for our quick trip to Sydney.
Very clean, great facilities, excellent price.
I liked that the staff were very accommodating, that it was clean and
comfortable.
Close to the food and shop and near to other attraction we would like to see.
Great location for seeing all of the city also for shopping .
location
got in early and were able to check in to room.
Fair Price, central to bus, rail, shopping and eateries.
The location was great right in the heart of the city.
The apartment rooms are well set up for small groups.
The room was clean and had nice views of the city.
Noise on lower floors.
The week ended too quick.
No cooking pan and tooth brush and toothpaste provided, you have to bring it urself.
I don't have any complaints.
1) We booked an apartment for 5 adults. Unfortunately the unit only had 1 bathroom!
2) No free wifi.
1. The Hotel cost was expensive for a family from Asia as our currency is much lower.
I didn't like that we had to wait in the foyer till 3pm, three hours after we arrived, to actually check into our room.
First room on third floor was a little worn our with only two windows. Noise from street fairly present until late into the night, but to be expected a little when staying on busy street.
Bathroom a bit tired.
Check conditions on "free cancellation" as hotel policy is to take funds 2 weeks prior to arrival.
There were no problems at all.
Missed our wake up call at 4.30am but I am an early riser and was awake prior to this anyway which was just as well.
Quoted more over the phone for same executive suite than online? Booked online to save money....
I was allocated with 2-single beds instead of a double bed. The number
of guest in the reservation is 1. I mentioned about it at the receiption
on the 2nd nite and was expecting it to be changed but didn'T.
There's no shower cap provided - was a bit disappointed. Every other hotel provide it. I would have appreciated to have it than having shampoo.
Nothing.
We were on the first floor and there was no stairs so we had to use the lift.
George St is no standing for taxis so it can be difficult to get dropped off.
The very hard pillows, we went out and purchased some softer ones and
then had a very comfortable bed. Also a bit annoyed about the fact we
were quoted $1,871 aud for 7 nights and 7 breakfasts but were charged on
our Visa $1,908.42 for 7 nights and 7 breakfasts!.
On check in the attitude of one of the staff members when I had asked him at 1pm if the room was available could he check. I was tired after a midnight flight and just thought it could not hurt to ask the question.
A bit worn around the edges. Bathrooms could do with a makeover.
No complaints at all.
The room hadn`t been checked out. No remote for TV, only 2 chairs, there were 3 of us, only a wardrobe, no drawers. The kettle was right next to the sink, which seems dangerous. We were asked for $24.00 for a film which we hadn`t watched, but reception didn`t insist and I trust we haven`t been charged for.
Nothing.
Could do better with paid price unless location is important. Bathroom
is very outdated, no bathtub. Could also do with double glass glazing as
it does get quite noisy during night time. Hair dryer broken but was
replaced within the hour. Overall building outdated.
* Parking the car was difficult, as it wasn't guaranteed, there was parking close by, however was full so had to park at Meriton for a hefty fee =/
(If you chose to stay here, ensure you secure your parking first hand, BELIEVE ME!).
Get rid of the plastic kettles!!.
The shower head could have been better.
Requested early check in as I travelled with a young child, but even after 3 requests, was still not able to get into the room until 2pm on checkin day - dissappointing!
Elevators on Checkout day were not working - had to walk 15 flights down stairs.
We had to move from original room due to toxic smell. Moved to smaller
room and to front of the complex which was right over George St very
noisy, not good for mature persons. Did request if we could move back to
the back, but no response.
Could have been slightly closer to Circular Quay.
There is nothing we didn't like, but it would have been good to have a washing machine & dryer in the room to use.
Didn't like how anyone could access the lift and go to the different
floors as the room passes weren't required unless it was to open the
room doors.
first impressions were bad. Reception like a crowded railway station with steps (but help offered with bags).
Our rooms faced Sussex Street and every morning was awaken by street cleaning trucks, and garbage collecting trucks.
having to pay for movies. Free in-house movies would have been nice.
The 1st room we were in had a very bad smell, could have been the drain,
not sure. We were upgraded straight away, which was a credit to your
staff. The second room had a bit of a musty smell but nothing like the
1st room. The sheets did smell musty like they had not been dried
straight away.
Parking was not available and is a hassle to look for place for park.
quite small rooms.
The noise level at night is not great. This hotel could benefit by installing doubled glazed window's to block out the street noise at night. If choosing to stay here ask for a room that is on the sussex st site as this street is a lot quieter than George St.
Nothing.
There is a restaurant next to the lobby area, so the smells can be strong upon entry.
