The location is excellent, and many rooms have great views of the river. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and this hotel is certainly the best value you can find in Rockhampton. The location was great, with views of the river. The room was spacious and comfortable. No traffic noise either. The Travelodge exceeded all my expectations. Excellent. Fresh milk for tea in room. clean and comfortable bed . most of the food was delicious . towels for the pool. friendly check in staff. quite roomy. nice tv.
all reviews » The staff were very helpful. Location was near the river and great access for an evening and morning walk. Other eating venues handy. Room very comfortable. We had asked for an early check in but didn't think they would get back to us but they sure did was pleasantly surprised and very happy. The room and facilities available were exactly what i needed for my weekend stay. Buffet Breakfast was good. Room was good, staff were very polite, convenience of area close to major supermarket and eateries. Comfy bed. Staff responded to requests quickly and efficiently. Good sized rooms. View out the back was a bit yuck of messy bins. one of our creme brulees was old, pulling in from the sides and dark and too stiff /hard. The cost. A bit pricey but inline with others in same street. Our mattress was way to hard. The meal we paid a far amount of money for in the attached restaurant. It was a big let down after driving all day! The steak was of poor quality and the veg, especially the carrots, were dried out and looked like they had been in a 'keep warm' container for days! Such a shame as accommodation was excellent!. Age of bathroom. TV reception. Balcony door would not open, but was fixed the next morning. Nothing. The noise from a nearby nightclub and other rooms doors slamming woke us often. Not enough parking. Bird noise. Fire alarm going off at midnight. Aircondioning very poor, would only stay here on winter. All good. Cost of meals. How hard the door was to open to the verandah and the bed was very firm so didn't get a good nights sleep. when the A/C was on i smelt like mold. we were told we would get a room over looking the river and did not. the room was very run down. Lack of parking for hotel guests.... There is a restaurant there as well and the same car park is for the restaurant guest and the hotel guests. Car park across the road does not state it is for the hotel and so unsure where to park. Had trouble with the swipe cards getting into hotel and the staff were not helpful. Had trouble with my swipe cards every day except for one day. They did not work properly. Wading through water to get baggage to room from car. An awful contrast to Villa Cavour where I stayed the night before. I will not stay again. No heating in rooms asked for another blanket that never arrived so we had to buy a heater,shower water pressure and temp control is very bad. Internet not available in rooms and the only view we got from our room was a dodgy lane out the back this happened twice .
