We drove from Melbourne to Port Campbell to enjoy the beauty of the great ocean road. Port Campbell is a great place to stop overnight. The Portside Motel is woderful hotel to stay. It has a large car park and free wifi! The rooms were very clean and had cooking facilies. The staff was very friendly and recommended a very good restaurant with a few minutes warking distance for us for our dinner.

I really enjoyed staying here - great customer service, spacious room with all facilities as described (particularly appreciated the provision of crockery and cutlery for use), bed was very comfortable, heater worked well, and the environment of the motel was quiet, calm and relaxing. Would definitely recommend staying here, and would stay here again. This is a very quirky little motel. It is not your modern mansion but the price reflects that, still the room is clean and all the appliances work if a little dated. Comfy bed and hot shower with just a roll down the hill to the pub for tea. We stayed in unit 7 which had the main street outlook. Great for viewing the sunset. Generally it's cosy and the room facilities is good enough for me. The bathroom is good with lots if hooks for hanging clothes n towels. Like the small dvd rental service too! Overall it's a fantastic stay! I would really like to stay for 1 more day at Port Campbell to explore the area. The online booking was efficient and hotel responded promptly and helpfully to my queries. On arrival, the hostess was warm, friendly and welcoming especially after a long drive from Melbourne. The room was clean and the lovely, private garden outlook onto palm trees was relaxing. Josie & John are VERY friendly and informative. The apartment was great, spacious, clean. Location is excellent, close to the shops and restaurants. Parking avail. on site. Definitely will come back and stay there again!!. Located near some of the best scenery on the great ocean road. When we arrive, the light and the air conditioner has been turned on, this really very warm. the staff is so kind. the room is very comfortable. Shower didn't have a glass shower screen only a shower curtain, which caused water to spread on the bathroom floor. No bedhead (concrete wall), so not very comfortable when sitting in bed to watch TV or to read. a little noisy for being too close to the street and few plant and not thick enough glass to keep the noise down. Nothing much. Nothing. kitchen had not heat to cook, only microwave. The name "Portside" made me think that it would be close to the ocean but it is about a 10 minute walk to the beach. A little cold when bathing. Nothing. Expected kitchen facilities, e.g gas stoves. Slightly brighter lights. Probably, upgrade to a DVD player from a VCR player. nothing to dislike. The showers are the biggest downfall and should be fixed.
