Great location, easy access to all resorts. The host is very helpful and friendly. I went there with with my in-laws and we got a family unit with two bed rooms, the room is not that big but definitely comfortable and quiet to sleep. It's well decorated and the flowers along the corridor are lovely indeed! On the main street, there is a restaurant called Nico's or something, they make beautiful beautiful pasta as well, I highly recommend them both.
all reviews » Greg and Marge were excellent hosts and made us feel really welcome and at home. The `Foxes Retreat' bar was a great added bonus after a day of sightseeing! The housekeeping staff also did a great job and were very helpful and informative. The motel is in a central position for seeing the main sights of the Great Ocean Road and its hinterland. The kitchenette is handy for light meals. The operators are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Our room was warm when we arrived because the air con had beenn put on for us in anticipation of our arrival :) The bed had duel electric blankets which was great for a cold night. Friendly staff and a great stay. We had a very enjoyable and relaxing time and would not hesitate to return again. Friendly staff. This was our 3rd visit to this motel. Gardens and grounds beautifully kept. Loved it !!!. I got a really nice room with a spa bath and enjoyed my stay there. The motel rooms are very comfortable and spacious but a little flimpsy and hence you hear the other guests moving around. The bed squeaked whenever you moved. Nothing. Nothing. Noice from the room next door, the walls was very thin. room was very cold & no way to heat it & one blanket on the bed, assume this is due to thin walls. this was in summer too. could probably have asked for another blanket but we were only staying one night. Port Campbell rather quiet restaurants limited. None. nothing. not really a complaint but I felt cold in middle of night. No heater in the bathroom. None of the rooms have a king size bed. Didn't well receive the wifi in our bedroom. Lack of a variety of restaurants in the area. Its a bit dated, needed a few repairs done. walls were a bit thin, couldn't sleep very well as I heard everything in the cabin next to me. Nothing!. The power wemt out for breakfast. Not the motels fault mind you. Holiday town prices. noise durig night, small rooms, neighbours' room too close you can hear them breathing, too noisy in early morning, too far from village center, and motels closer to it have better look and price/quality ratio. A bit confusing finding the entrance. As seen on letsbookhotel.com, we thought what we booked was a two bedroom apartment. It turned out to be a one bedroom and another bed in the lounge. If you are a family that is not a problem, but as we are two couples travelling together it means someone may have to go to the bathroom just next to our bed!!. No cooking top, only microwave. - Wifi didn't work - Smallish rooms. The floor was sticky and kitchen cutlery and crockery was dirty not washed properly . The bed was very uncomfortable because the matress was longer than the base of the bed so your feet is higher than your head, I woke up with a sore back.
