Wonderful huge room with separate walk in wardrobe/bathroom with huge two person glam bath. Separate seating area with gas/log fire and the look of a library. Very comfortable bed, pillows etc. The reception staff were accomodating and found us a room with an opening balcony door, it was very comfortable and lovely and as a result we had a very enjoyable stay in Melbourne. The Park Hyatt is in the perfect location, sitting between the city and the parks. The standard room was spacious, beautifully appointed and quiet.

The fact that rooms have windows you can not open if you prefer fresh air. On checking out, the staff member was having a long conversation about a mutually adored city with another guest. This slowed my checkout considerably and there was no eye contact to acknowledge I was waiting or apology for the delay. Disappointing, when all other staff had been charming. No bar with a view outside (we are not Club Lounge members!). Unfortunately my daughter and myself, hardly slept, for some reason the mattresses felt like they were over heating and cooking us, at 4 in the morning we both got up and checked to see if there was an electric blanket on, which there wasn't. It was such a shame because apart from that everything was lovely. Nothing except probably a little expensive. The pillow on the bed was a bit softer then I am used to. Being a local resident as other hotels good rooms with views not made available. Spa was closed, no restaurant or bar on Sunday night. Our room was wrong as it only had one bed so we needed to change, but staff were excellent in sorting it out. Nothing. Nothing. having a room with a door to another room and could hear most of their conversations. Club lounge was under average. The room was not clean.The staff was not professional. 1. Conflicting infomation from staff 2. Management was not aware of the complaints 3. gadgets not working in room 4. Hotel very dated. 5. Worst Park Hyatt that I had stayed. 6. NO free wifi.
