The Buffet breakfast - the best we have had in a long time, beds& pillows pure comfort, staff very friendly and accommodating, we were sent a bottle of champagne due to noise in restaurant over dinner due to a party in the next area and also given a comp upgrade as we had been booked into 2 diff room types through websites. The service at this Hilton was the best we've experienced in any Hilton hotel. The rooms were modern and spacious and the bed, very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was terrific with fresh fruit available for you to make your own juice and a chef on hand to make waffles, eggs benedict, omlettes...delivered to your table.
all reviews » 1.Easy communication with rapid resolution of any issues arising by the helpful staff. 2.On arrival I absent mindedly left my bag at the front desk .It was promptly brought up before I even remembered I'd forgotten it! (Very considerate, thoughtful and prompt service. ). Everything!! Staff were excellent, food was great, room was awesome and comfortable. Valet parking was worth it too.. Prices were really reasonable for a Hotel in the inner city. Great views. Would really recommend people to stay at the Hilton South Wharf!!. Loved the location, close to Crown Casino, nightlife, shopping, cafés. The room was fantastic, most comfortable bed I have ever slept in!!! Clean bathroom . Highly recommended Breakfast was lovely, lots to choose from and wait staff very efficient. I loved the view! Absolutely beautiful especially at night. We were right next to the river and so it was easy to just walk into the city and not to mention DFO right next door! Perfect place to stay when you want a mix of shopping and luxury :). The friendliness of the staff was amazing....from the person who met us at valet parking to the staff at the counter when I was checking out...they were some of the most naturally friendly hotel staff I have ever encountered. The hotel staff were excellent, we celebrated our wedding anniversary and were surprised with wine and then at breakfast congratulated by staff. We were made to feel very special, that was our third stay at the hotel. I liked the way that it was a Hilton. It was well placed at Sth Wharf. We were upgraded to a higher level. The toiletries were absolutely lovely. The breakfast was sensational and we also got a late check out. The service was top-notch. When we mentioned it was my boyfriend's birthday they provided us with complimentary champagne and strawberries, delivered to our room before we got in. The view was also fabulous!. The room was superb - were upgraded to a suite. The service was fantastic and everyone made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and is now my favourite place to stay. (My fourth time there). The room was amazing, great views, perfect location - 5-10min walk to the cbd, surrounded by restaurants and the dfo. My only tiny gripe was the fact that some Mercedes cars were being promoted in the lobby area. The lobby was beautful and I dont think the addition of some cars was appropriate. No pool and poor access to public transport. Good location if you want casino/conventions but a bit far from the city. Nothing and nothing at all. We thought the menu at Nuevo was very limited and very expensive. We were told that our room wasn't ready and that the front desk would call us when it was. No call!. Absolutely nothing. Bedding only had a fitted sheet and quilt, great for others but not comfortable me. Buffet was alright, some food over cooked but great range. Would have liked a balcony but it didn't matter! Only one thing let your hotel down was the reception we received from Josh on arrival - surly & very unfriendly, so different than the rest of the staff. First impressions can often count for so much, but in this case we would not let him spoil our enjoyment. There was intermittent ringing noise coming from the airconditioner on the second night we stayed in the hotel. Fortunately the duty manager came to change the filter at no time. Nothing-loved everything!. The battery of both remote controls were weak (nearly empty), which could have been replaced if we had mentioned at the reception, but for one-night-stay not important. Room slipper is not available in the room. Is on request basis. The shower pressure is rather low and there is no door. Is kind of cold in winter. nothing. Dark interior entrance with anonymous front door. The fact I couldn't take the doona and pillows with me!. Room was a bit small for the price. Decoration rather harsh for my liking. No nice lounge area, common areas very dark and rather depressing. Aud 100 per night blocked on the card for incidentals is unreasonable. 1% charge for paying by credit card, with no mention at time of booking also unreasonable. Nothing that I didn't like! Will stay there again. nothing at all. On site cafe average. Tv didn't work-major bummer. Restaurant was under staffed for breakfast on Easter Monday. Very slow service. We had an international flight to catch. The bar staff in the Sotano Room need to be client focused regardless of social status. Lighting a little too dull. I missed in the room an extra armchair... As we were two of us it does make sense...
