Check in was very smooth and the information provided was excellent. I contacted the manager to arrange a slightly later checkout as we were meeting friends for lunch. He checked and as there were no new bookings for that night we were able to leave our belongings and collect them after our lunch which was most generous and helpful. Stayed 5 nights in a 2 bedroom apartment. Excellent location in the heart of Melbourne City. Comfortable and they even gave a free mid stay linen change which included the bed linen. Check in and check out very easy. Convenient to supermarkets for grocery shopping and it was good to have a kitchen which included a dishwasher.

Also, having the IGA Express next door was very handy for bread, milk etc. Having a dishwasher and washing machine was also great and was what we were looking for when booking. Very dense walls meant we didn't hear any other guests. The location is fantastic, walking distance to shopping, train stations, casino. Very spacious - the loft rooms look even bigger. A secure place to stay even though there is no reception with how the keys are assigned to each floor. I would stay there again. Spacious apartment, clean accommodation, practical floor plan. Did not see any Staff really. Just collect/return the keys from the allocated mail box. For the 3 intervening days, the apartment was just like my own home. How wonderful!. Great location, easy accessible transport, pretty tree lined street. Lots of eateries in close proximity. Very clean and beautifully fitted. Beds very comfy. Exquisite old building and very soundproof. Historic buildings in vicinity. The service was well delivered being 3 times over 9 days. This was all that was required and was not intrusive. The location was convenient and central. The allowance generously provided for a late check out was much appreciated. Loved it here! The apartment was spacious and comfortable and we were able to walk everywhere. We stayed with 2 small children and it was perfect for us. Would definitely tell friends and family about it. The location The old building. Kitchen supplies were basic but we managed. The very heavy iron gate was difficult to negotiate with a pram in tow. The lobby was dark, musty and not at all inviting. No staff seen at all for 5 days. Also, I think giving enough cleaning products would be helpful and a small vaccuum cleaner to use. Having to buy a bottle of washing up detergent, dishwasher tablets and laundry detergent is a pain. We couldn't adjust the air-conditioner temperature so we turned it off at the main switch. The TV could only get one channel most of the time and the one in the bedroom didn't seen to work properly either but we didn't spend much time in so it didn't really bother us. Curtains in the bedroom let in too much light, thus making it hard to sleep. The cellophane tape did the trick. There was no buffet breakfast downstairs, or any staff on premises to ask questions. Nothing to note. Bit anxious about check in procedure but turned out pretty straightforward. Parking was a block away but not too bad. No wifi - you dont realise how much you depend on the ability to access the internet while on holiday, and not wanting to blow out your data roaming. When we had an issue with noisy aircon duct it took 5 calls to get some action. Then it was resolved by shifting us to a better room. I was expecting the apartment to be serviced but it was not - not that it proposed a problem. Nothing. I couldn't find the remote for the main tv. I had booked a loft apartment with a balcony, this really was false advertising as there is no balcony that you can sit on and have a drink or coffee, it is more a window, that will only half open. That was a bit disappointing. 1. We booked 1xdouble, 2 x singles but when we got there we had 2 x queens. So being 3 x 30+ women we needed another bed. A single was provided at no charge but I had to sleep in lounge room. 2. It was not advertised that the unit was over 2 levels. Not a big deal but would be nice to know. 3. There was no one onsite to ask questions. Concierge did not answer phone on Sunday morning in regards to where to leave luggage ... but they did ring back. Air con was a little noisy. Washing machine was difficult to use, especially when the instructions were partially obscured. Parking is a huge issue here, I got a ticket for parking too long on the streets. I don't even know where to park if you are staying here. I rented a car but had to return it the next day, that's how I got a ticket because there is virtually no parking available except metered parking on the streets which do not allow you to park more than 1 hr during the day. TV screes very small but who goes to Melbourne to watch TV anyway?. We are not very good with key exchange systems. Would like to have been able to let someone know that on our arrival discovered the swivel fitting for the tv was broken -but tv worked fine. Need to confirm bedding configuration even after selecting it when booking, need to be notifed of extra charges with the bedding configuration. Need to be notified that payment is just taken out on day of arrival there is no reception staff. The equipment in the rooms not working correctly. The TV stand was broken and we could not actually use the TV as signal dropped out. The washing machine/dryer faulty Cause a lot of stress on the last day for me. Nothing. Would like to have a cooktop as we don't like eating out every night. En suite bathroom a little tired. No cork screw!!. would have like an easier way to arrange internet access - in the end I fluffed it and was not able to get it organised in time. I didn't like the way that I acceced the hotel because I spent around one hour trying to find out where is the enterance.Besides,there was no staff to take care of the reception or even to ask them about something.there was no telephone that I was able to use in order to book or call a taxi!. Air con didn't work properly always either too cold or too hot. No parking included - which makes it very expensive to find outside parking. Day of departure cannot leave luggage to be held. No oven or portable oven available. Nothing - it was agreat experience!. No point of contact with anyone. Just the nature of having an apartment over a hotel though. Pillows uncomfortable, ended up with sore neck after second night. Nothing to report. A little bit noisy on a Friday and Saturday night but nothing you wouldn't expect for being in the heart of the city. nothing!. There is still large void on the lower floor which hopefully will house some form of restaurant. There is limited cooking facilities so be prepared to go out or use microwave. internet too expensive entrance / reception area smelly. (1) The two TV contols for each TV which were confusing to use. (2) No broom to sweep up crumbs. No staff around to ask questions but only a phone call away. Having to keep the curtains closed as the aprtment was right up against an office and they could see in very easily.therefore no natural light. Washing machine did not work (I made sure it was plugged in at the power point) Garbage Chute was out of order so I had nowhere to place the garbage. The smoke smell in the room The lack security at the foyer.
