  We enjoyed a relaxing week in a beautifully 2 bedroom apartment. (All apartments have been renovated excellent shower and very comfortable beds) Difficult to fault any aspect of our stay. The owners are very friendly and would do anything to help,(Family Business) the location is excellent close to everything. We will be back for another getaway ... what people say » in the near future and would highly recommend Hervey Bay Colonial Lodge to family and friends. 10/10 - Kay,Peter and Michael were very friendly and helpful.We were scheduled to stay 3 nights ,but had to extend our stay by 2 more days ,as we were "trapped ' there due to the roads north and south being flooded following the aftermath of Cyclone Oswald. They kept us up to date with reports on road closures etc and local information. Excellent accommodation for good value and wifi included at no extra cost. Henry & Karen Doyle from the uk

  The manager, Peter, couldn't have been more pleasant and accommodating if he tried. I emailed in advance as we wanted 2x double beds (myself, my partner and my parents) and as he actually upgraded us for free to a stunning 3 bed apartment - even taking all our luggage up there for us and giving us tea/ coffee/ breakfast packs. It was superb! Views, location close to all you need! Would not hesitate to stay again and have already told all our friends about it:-) Oh and the pool was AWESOME!

  The property is beautiful. Fully renovated old structure with antique furniture combined with state of the art new appliances. Wonderful private large space with a garden right by the beach. Our interest was just a time to unwind. We booked two days and extended to five. The lovely atmosphere and quiet was what we needed. There are free to use bikes and kayaks a - Jayesh the owner of Five3Five was awesome, so friendly and so accommodating. We stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment with my husband, nephew, our son, our aunty, 2 cousins and mother in law and it was more than enough room for our group. The free use of the bikes and the kayaks. We checked out on the Thursday and we have already booked in our next holiday up there in January. Amazing apartment and facilities straight across the road from the beach :)

  We loved the apartments, they were very spacious and luxourious! Me (25) and my partner (29) were travelling with his parents (both in 50s) and we all loved the apartments. We hada pool view room which was perfect for us as it overlooked the marina bay also! Akama is only a short 5 min walk to the bay which was really convernient! V - The space afforded in the apartment was a pleasant surpise, the level of cleanliness I havent seen for a while and the close location to the Marina was ideal. I was told it wasnt the touristy part of town which suited us very well. Staff were brilliant too and were happy to pass on insider knowledge. I was sad to leave!

  The friendliness and help afforded us by Bob and Jenny was superb. I had my 96 Y.O. Aunt with us, and the facilities were exactly what we needed for her. I.E.lift, shower base, and Bob offered a shower chair for her as well. The whole place is a credit to their diligence, as it is immaculate. A pleasure to stay with them. Very comfortable accomodation fully self-contained which helps to keep the costs down. Small touches like washing powder and cold water in the fridge are very welcoming. Fresh milk is always a bonus.

  we were there for 4 nights and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There was nothing to want in the way of cookware, kitchenware etc. and our travelling picnic basket was never used as it was all in house. - We went there for relaxation and thats what we got..   * We liked the position of the hotel room on the ground floor with a walk out to the pool * I loved my bedroom and ensuite, my mum had the other bedroom. my bed was very comfortable * we loved the value and the attitude of the guys at Pier Resort reception, who managed to get us our requested second night for a steal compared to the normal rate.... what people say » This above all else made the two night stay sensational. - These apartments are quite modern and fully equipped to meet the demands of the most difficult guests (ours had a washing machine, a dish washer, a tumble drier, a huge shower, a jacuzzi, two tv sets, free internet access, a fully-equipped kitchen, parking space, an adapter for foreign plugs, etc.). The view was gorgeous, and it's only a short walk to the pier and the marina.
