We appreciated the warm welcome on our arrival, the beauty of the surrounds, the comfort of the room - the best nights' sleep in temporary accommodation,- and the kind farewell as our stay came to its conclusion. We hope to be back next year and most certainly recommend you to others who might visit Philip Island. The staff were vey friendly and helpful. The cabin was nice and the beds were comfortable. We could have brought only our food and clothes because everything else we needed was there.

Rooms were bright and clean. The location is very handy to shops and the beach. A very warm welcome was given by the staff who took time to point out places of interest. Friendly staff, quiet location and easy access to surrounding amenities and district. Just what we needed after battling the traffic through Melbourne. Loved the dog. The cabin was great, clean and looked refurbished. Great value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location to the beach and restraunts. Our particular cabin had a smell under the sink leak not visible. We were the first ones to report it, but no drama - it will now be looked into. The room lacked a table and chairs, however, this was only a minor inconvenience and it was advised that upgrades are due next year which will include those items. Nothing. The only on site food is a Japanese restraunt. Not great for young children. We didn't dislike anything but we do think it would of been handy to have ice-creams and cold drink for kids but not a big deal. :o). Need electric kettle. Nothing. Cannot think of anything (I didn't have a chance to use the pool because it's winter...). Finding the location, especially at night as the entrance is located at Douglas St and not Church St. Nothing - no complaints at all. Might have eaten at the restaurant but the menu seemed a bit too expensive. Maybe some more fresh towels. The bathroom is a bit too small and the water temperature fluctuated from very cold to very hot. Nothing. No luggage bench, not enough pillows, and felt closed in due to window view directly opposite building next door. Very big chest of drawers which is not proportionate to what the room needs. The most horrible wooden bed with protruding corners which hit our legs several times trying to walk around the room. The bath area was narrow and so was the sink area. It was fairly basic. Bathroom small but adequate. Bedrooms both tiny and it got very cold overnight. So much so we had to add a duvet from another bed. Good job the extra duvets were available. there is no microwave inside the room. Noting. inconsistent heating in the showers. If your planning on impressing a lady that is used to hotels, book a hotel room .... but if its the family or a few mates ... you cant go wrong with amaroo... allways a pleasure to stay. Shared kitchen facilities monopolised by unfriendly guests and noisy children Not disability friendly. Paths unsafe Shower base slippery and no grab handles in shower or at toilet Shower timers set too short to adjust temperature and have time to wash hair. My wife ended up freezing cold with shampoo in hair and unable to reset hot water. No off street parking. bathroom is very small; just a place to sleep. No air con, stuffy room No tv / radio or clock in room Thin walls, a bit noisy Smokers gathered at table with ashtrays outside my window, yuk.
