After we traveled 1000's of miles, we were greeted with a warm and wonderful welcome.We loved the friendly wonderful staff Andy & Ruth, The apartment we stayed at was like a penthouse, Perfect everything!! Omg the best!! View was beautiful!! Location was close to shops, central, convenient to everything. Staff were professional, was always greeted with a smile and a friendly chat :)) Most helpful, Even down to having a town map and welcome note on arrival. I could not of asked for anything .
all reviews » I loved staying at Koala Court Holiday Apartments. Andy and his wife were so accommodating and really took such good care of my friends and me during our stay. They were very helpful with offering advice and suggestions on what to do in the area, and they were responsive to our every need. I think this couple really exemplified the spirit of Australians- friendly, helpful, good- natured people. I would highly recommend this location, especially for anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable, and v. The managers were extremely friendly and very helpful. They organised 2 great trips for us - to the Barrier reef and also Kurada. The apartment itself was pretty spacious and equipped with everything you'd need including a much needed washing machine and dryer. There is free wifi which is a great benefit as lots of other Aussie hotels and apartments don't have it. Smaller,Friendly apartment block , very handy to local shops Take away and Bus stops for getting in and out of Town and to the botanical gardens. Owners were away , but we were looked after extremely well by Tony & his wife and booked all our trips through them , friendly helpful advice. Would definitely stay again. :). Andy & Ruth are fantastic hosts, helping us with things to see in Cairns, we even went to the Rugby with them. The apartment was very good with all you need for a comfortable stay. We will stay there again. A very good value for money apartment in Cairns and just a 20min walk to the middle of the CBD. The staff-helpful and friendly; provided us towels for our trip to the Great Barrier Reef the price-very reasonable for our group of 5 the apartment- quite roomy, really appreciated the washer and dryer the kitchen-well stocked, enjoyed the complimentary tea and coffee. I liked the spacious 1 bedroom unit. The grounds were meticulously kept. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Washer and dryer in unit. The bed was really comfortable. Lots of closet space. Close to restaurants and conveniences. Well equipped rooms and very spacious. The manager was very helpful and gave us some good advice on where to go and do. We liked the private courtyard and private laundry and we thought it was great value for money and will stay again. Close to Cairns Central and all tourists sights. Apartment was large and comfortable. The owners were friendly and helpful, and quick to serve. We were made to feel at home, very relaxing. Would stay there again. Ruth and Andy the proprietors are very friendly and helpfu. They booked our trips for us, called the cabs, asked us to let them know if we needed anything. They are a pleasure to be with. The staff were most helpful and had really good suggestions for tours etc. The location in Cairns is excellent, easy walking distance to the CBD, beach and other attractions. Andy and Ruth are wonderful hosts and extremely helpful with local information, tour bookings and anything else you need help with. Would stay here again if I got the chance. Size of the room, ease of car parking under shade, availability of laundry, privacy, security at night (gates locked), owners very friendly and helpful, close to the town. That we couldn't stay longer :( everything was perfect, holiday wasn't long enough. There was very little negative aspects to the apartment. Only things worth mentioning would be that it's a reasonable walk to the part of the Esplanade where all the restaurants and bars are. Also the decor of the apartments is a little bit dated. Having said that I thing this is a great place which is great value and wouldn't hesitate to book again. Need to specify ground floor unit in future, as no lift , especially difficult with aging parents & heavy suit cases. Some of the appliances are getting a wee bit dated but still work ok but probably the best value for money apartment in Cairns. This is the only serviced apartment that we stayed in Australia that did not provide shampoo and conditioner-on the plus side,the staff kindly loaned us some. Office hours too short. Toilet did not flush easily. Not enough kitchen utensils for my liking. Thought the rooms decore was a little dated for some tastes but i thought at the price i can not complain as it was clean and well equipped and comfortable. Nothing. It was a good value for the money. Perhaps have a few more staples in the unit, paper towels, toilet paper, dish towels Etc. Cutlery needs updating. Nothing - would stay again. Swimming pool was by the road and a bit small but nice. A bit of a trek to centre of town. No complaints. Could do with a new mattress. Little bit outdated but for the price it was okay. Peeling paint on ceiling in bathroom. Probably needs painting. Shower screen was stained with mould and partly off rails which allowed water onto floor during shower. Dishwasher had a very wonky and dangerous upper shelf. Bathroom fittings, and some other fittings, starting to show their age. Noise from upper floors. The facilities are somewhat outdated. Noise from upstairs. Could be a bit cleaner; kitchen work surfaces had tiny insects over them. nothing. No convenient public transport into Cairns or airport. location is not quite good. a little bit far from shoppinh centre and city place. The mid stay 'service' only consisted of changing sheets and towels - OK if there had been any cleaning gear available - I had to use dishwashing liquid to clean bathroom and floors. Mop was supplied but full of black hairs. Wardrobe door off glides. Air- coinditioner was noisy,. When I booked the unit I explained we were coming for our son to do the iron man triathlon .The room we were in had the smokers right out side our door .We had children stomping over head ,till late .The blanket on our bed ,did not look clean ,and had holes,there was no lounge ,just very uncomfortable chairs ,and due to the units position ,it smelled ...not the ideal place for someone trying to race . Booking was not passed on from letsbookhotel.com nearly didn't have somewhere to stay. Older apartment needs updating. Needs a better cleaner, floor was really dirty.
