Convenient location. Clean, roomy and comfortable accommodation. Good parking (very important), quiet room. Good "pull-in" driveway for being picked up by family or taxi. Helpful and friendly reception. Hoping to stay there again when we come down soon to a show @ QPAC. The room met most of my requirements. It was close to the Mater Hospital and public transport. Best of all it has free parking that is easily accessed! The staff were really good to me even though they were extremely busy.

The hotel was well placed, within walking distance of the South Bank and Brisbane's cultural institutions. The room was a good size, and very pleasant. The service was prompt, e.g. calling a taxi, answering queries etc. Hotel location for business or leisure in the Southbank area of Brisbane is excellent. The hotel is small, comfortable and quiet. The rooms are large, and have kitchenettes. Parking is provided. I have stayed there many times as I had my Grandson at the Mater for many appointments and 2 open heart operations. I feel sentimental about the Hotel and feel comfortable there. Friendly and efficient staff willing to check up transport information for guests. Excellent online rate. Location excellent for buses South Bank, Cultural centre and West End. Good location & parking provided was a great bonus that we don't get in CBD. Great location to rest after coming from the country after a long trip. We will be back again!. The location and its proximity to the Thai Embassy which I needed to visit. Also, as is the case in many parts of Australia, there are eating venues all around the hotel. Friendly, happy cleaning staff, location generally suited us well, parking for car very good, breakfast good. It was close to the Mater hospital and if you needed to buy anything the shops were close by. good clean facilities, well equipped kitchenette, no fuss, ad everything I need. Had stayed there a few years ago and couldn't believe how the place had gone down hill. I liked that it was close to transport and small shops. i liked the spa in the room. Night stuff were lovely. Being older, found it a bit difficult getting in and out of the spa bath for a shower. The tv in my room wouldn't work properly. I reported it but there was only 1 man on duty and he simply didn't have the time to leave the desk and come up and fix it. The staff did an excellent job, but were definitely run off their feet. You need one more person on duty at busy times. The internet service, provided by Myport, was expensive and extremely slow. I often had to try six or seven times to reconnect, and had to enter my details each time. I asked for staff help the first time, which was quickly given, but I couldn't keep running to reception every time there was a problem, so just coped with the poor service. I don't know if the problem was to do with Myport or the hotel. The hotel rooms and facilities are looking rather worn and in need of refurbishment. Breakfast is limited in choice and quality. Not having a bath but that was only a minor thing as we only stayed one night. Nothing really. Only 3 pillows in room - a 4th would have meant better comfort for two when sitting up when reading or watching TV. Limited coat hangers or storage for clothing when staying several days meant living out of the suitcase. can not think of anything. TV channels poor, tried to watch sbs, Eurovision, but had lousy interference in TV reception, the bedroom TV didn't show any ABC or SBS tv channels, not a major issue really It was just round the corner from some good facilities. The excellent staff were let down by the rudeness of one individual. I'd be surprised if she is still there on our next visit. Tv could be better and a guide would be nice. There is a distinctive smell to their cleaning fluid that can be a bit unpleasant and the windows don't open. Slow elevator, made a lot of noise. The room key did not work after 24hrs staying there even though booked in for 2 nights. Staff very quiet. The hotel is a little dated but I understand that it's going through some refurbishments. No replacing for complementary items such as milk, biscuits, and no mineral water given. three star @ four star price. Desk facilities. The reception staff were not very friendly. customer service when first arrived not good; waited for a long time before acknowledged. Noise carries between walls or there was renovation going on at the time. Motor noise outside windows - ?aircon, small tv. Breakfast was cheap but rubbish. Didn't worry the second day. Just went to the airport and ate there. Bathroom tired and just clean.. Bathroom needs renovating..a bit worn and tired looking. Grout around spa and sink dirty, chipped and mouldy looking. The Bathroom had a lot of mould, sorry to complain, but they are a reputable hotel and if one is ill your room should be clean!. Air conditioning was out of order. A call to reception resulted in no action. On checkout we were casually told the system had failed. No apology no offer of compensation. shower did not work in first room occupied . moved to 3rd floor ,door falling off cupboard where TV was kept !! Need walk in showers, for easier access for older clients . Preferred 2nd floor -rooms more spacious . King size bed not a bonus !!. Old hotel in need of renovation, but represented the price. Customer service, male at reception thought answering phones while customers were wanting to be booked in was more important. And bedding wasn't very comfortable at all, king size beds had a big gap in the middle like two beds had been joined together, plus it was ridiculously hard. Shower head leaked; receptionist not very interested. Bed was a little hard and no kettle in room. Lack of dining facilities and bar. Booked a spa room- the spa did not work properly and the hotel was booked full so no use complaining. Some of the reception staff abrupt impatient and need to be reminded that it is the guest who fund there wages. A little bit old and daggy but it was okay. unfriendly staff at breakfast and a bad breakfast not enough choice for the price. needs a revamp, second time i have stayed there that i have had to change rooms due to air conditioning not working. Spartan furnishings. air con didn't work. Should have warned me on the amex surcharge before debiting my card. electricity. The rooms were very dated, air conditioner did not work and the room was hot. The bathroom cupboards were rotting and didn't feel very clean. The bed was extremely hard. Don't know where they got a four star rating from. The bed was very uncomfortable and too hard. there were no extra blankets or pillows in the room. there was no channel guide for the tv. Reception staff, especially Sandra, most unhelpful and rude mannered. Age of bathroom/spa. Chipped paint around spa and obvious need to upgrade in general. Dinner not served in hotel anymore. Cafe had prices too high for a small venue. The front desk staff very ordinary,room was not very clean on arrival the room is tidy but not clean,I wouldn't stay here again for it is very dear for what you get.We were very disappointed. Room 201. Blinds absolutely woeful letting street lights , neons in. Needs curtains like room 219 to which we were thankfully transferred. booked accommodation via letsbookhotel.com, arrived at Diana Plaza on check-in day to be told by staff the computer had made an error and the motel was completely booked out. After a mad scramble by staff we were given a room but was not reassuring as we have stayed there before and also had a terrible stay.
