  We stayed for 3days/2 nights in this very nice and beautifully located hotel. Double rooms are well sized but for 3 adults a bit small. View from the restaurant towards the central mountains is spectacular. Breakfast is good and dinner was always delicious. This hotel is perfect for an enjoyable trip to Torres del Paine although quite expensive. -... what people say » Liked a big lounge where we could see the Torres Del Paine National park pretty well. Room was also nice, clean, had a big window. We had a superior room as it was advised in the review. It was right, without the view from superior room it is not worth it.

  We are a couple from Mexico in our fisrt trip to Calafate. We found Hosteria Meulen wonderful and clean. Hostesses were very nice and always worried about our satisfaction.   I must say this hotel could not of been better as far as taking care of us. When we needed extra nights they worked hard to let us stay in our same room. The last night we had to move across the street and they let us walk over and still enjoy their fabulous breakfast!!! They made sure my husband had Gluten free as well.   All staff including the restaurant one went way beyond their duty, so nice and helpful. The location was perfect for us, best view of the lagos in town and only few minutes walk or cab from town if you need to go there. The restaurant within the hotel made some very good meals and did gluten free food for my wife both at breakfast and supper...and... what people say » best gluten free bread she had for months! Rooms are super clean but a bit basic, we didn't mind as we spent so little time in there and the rest wa - The view from the windows is amazing. Full panoramic look of the lake. The staff is amazing and honest and speak English. They gave us some good recommendations about places in the town. The room had nothing special. Regular, one bed + tv + window (huge though) room + bathroom ... The price (probably due to off season) was very attractive.

  Very helpful staff and a warm and cozy place to stay! They had a large common area to meet & eat breakfast (which was included in the room rate). They gave us great restaurant recommendations and were really helpful in booking an excursion to the glacier. - Staff are friendly, multilingual and helpful, especially for booking of tours/transfer... what people say » s.   Gabriel, the host, was extremely kind and helpful. The hotel and rooms were decorated with a lot of taste. The hotel was located near the bird reserve and lake. It was very peaceful to stay at this hotel. The hotel has a restaurant that serves specialities from Patagonia. You have to pay the hotel in cash in order avoiding 10% in more but this is an information you know as soon as you reserve and they remind it to yo - Staying at Cauquenes de Nimez was one of the best travel experiences we ever had. It is not a place for those looking for luxury, but instead you will find a great staff that will make their best to make you feel like you are at home. Have a free cup of tea at 6 o'clock looking at the birds flying over the Nimez laguna and waking up with the birds singing is really fantastic. Located only 15 minutes-walk away from the center of the city. Thanks Sr. Gabriel and the team for the great hospitality

  Exceedingly nice for the price, very relaxed, tremendous restaurant right in the building, walking distance to main street and casino, much better than we anticipated. Staff spoke adequate english, and could help with our trip arrangements (taxis and buses, tours).
