Was a bit apprehensive after reading some of the reviews,but was notdissappointed as hotel was fabulous,location and everything wasexcellent,could not fault anything.Hotel very comfortable,clean andfriendlly.Our first time in America,and Chicago was amazing.,lived up toall our expectations,fabulous city,just want to go back,and woulddefinetly stay

Helpful staff, extrememly clean and well kept, fruit, cereal and bagels provided for breakfast with microwave and cooker should you wish to purchase anything for yourself, basic room but perfect as base for exploring Chicago. 5 to 10 mins walk to John Hancock Centre and oak street beach and explo

I liked the location in terms of being able to walk or easily take
public transportation to the heart of the city as well as the immediate
area, 6 bed dorm room and nice bathroom, helpful staff (gave out good
local map to all hostelers), general cleanliness, and
"complimentary breakfast all day", which included tea, coffee,
fruit, bagels and cream cheese as a plus.

The hotel is in an excellent location. I really like the courtyard and the clean environment.The staff were excellent especially the janitors -
5 star service. Warm and friendly staff. The fact that they do not accept tips made their committment to excellence all the more valid.

Our stay at The Drake was wonderful! We booked a deluxe room with a view and were able to check in early. Our room was very spacious with 2 huge windows looking onto the lake and Oak Street Beach. This is an historic hotel and maintains that sense of service and elegance. Perfect location on the lake & Michigan Avenue. Live music in the lounge & in the more fomal space off the lobby. Service was excellent! It's a little pricier than we usually like to pay but was perfect to celebrate a birthday.

The staff were consistently friendly and courteous. Whether you met them on an elevator ride, or whether you transacted business w/ them - they consistently wore smiles and a courteous, welcoming attitude. - I really enjoyed my stay, and it was a better choice then most hotels in the area. The personal attention was a great plus

As soon as we settled in our room we received a call to see if we needed anything. People gave service a 6 out of 10 which is rediculous. 10/10 for sure. The best hotel in chicago. - Did not get to spend much time in the hotel, but the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very lovely, although the lighting could have been brighter.

The hotel is in a good location, a couple of blocks from the Hancock Center, Oak Street Beach, and the Museum of Contemporary Art. We rented a 2-bedroom suite - the kitchen and family room were very comfortable and nicely appointed. Daily complementary hot breakfast was always very good. The rooms are comfortable, the staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good, as is the dinner option. When we arrived they suggested an Architectural Boat Tour, that we did take and enjoyed immensely
