Helpful staff, extrememly clean and well kept, fruit, cereal and bagels provided for breakfast with microwave and cooker should you wish to purchase anything for yourself, basic room but perfect as base for exploring Chicago. 5 to 10 mins walk to John Hancock Centre and oak street beach and explo

public transportation to the heart of the city as well as the immediate
area, 6 bed dorm room and nice bathroom, helpful staff (gave out good
local map to all hostelers), general cleanliness, and
"complimentary breakfast all day", which included tea, coffee,
fruit, bagels and cream cheese as a plus.

This is an historic hotel and maintains that sense of service and elegance. Perfect location on the lake & Michigan Avenue. Live music in the lounge & in the more fomal space off the lobby. Service was excellent! It's a little pricier than we usually like to pay but was perfect to celebrate a birthday.
