The room was very spacious compared to many in Europe. It was very
nicely appointed. It was close to the cathedral and the center of town.
There were nice shops and sightseeing areas nearby. The staff was quite
friendly and the pub had really good food and drinks. The stairwell and
hallways were kind of like a tiny maze but we found that to be charming.

The welcome from the staff, The room facilities were impeccable. I was concerned about noise prior to arrival as the accommodation is above a pub, there was no noise therefore a peaceful sleep was had by all. the hotel was very efficient at check in and out. the room was lovely and clean. it seemed newly refurbished and very comfortable. we had an evening meal in the restaurant. the service was a little slow but the food was excellent.we have been 2 years in a row for our anniversary and cant fault it as so near to the shops and bars. - The room was cle

All the staff we came into contact with were curteous, friendly and helpful.
The Hotel and rooms were very clean.
Breakfast was good with a reasonable choice of food.
Ample parking.
Handy for Winchester.
Though there were Christmas Parties being held in the hotel function rooms there was no noise intrusion.

Decor light and airy, spaciousness, restaurant excellent, beds very comfy. Breakfast good though a little disjointed in selection, no continuity, eggs ordered separately and delivered to table before we had finished our cereals.Lovely hotel, good parking and peaceful.

The warm welcome and helpfulness of the staff, particularly I would like to thank the young man who helped with directions when we got lost. Lovely setting. Excellent communications when I had reason to contact the hotel directly. The recently refurbished rooms and restaurant were a real treat and the food was yummy. We booked some time ago and the new owners honoured our booking price which made our trip the bargain of the Century. Good Luck with Your new acquisition. -

there. The staff were friendly and accommodating, fitting us in for
dinner at last notice when they were busy and allowed us to leave our
car with them the following day. Our room was very clean and well
presented, the bed very comfortable and enjoyed the overall feel of
the place

Arriving in the middle of a period of hot weather we were initially very uncomfortable in our room but the management went out and bought a fan. The food in the restaurant was very good and staff very helpful. Only a 10 minute drive into Winchester.

Spacious bedroom and bathroom with everything we needed/wanted. The
staff (evening and morning) were friendly and helpful. It's a proper
local with plenty of people coming in for a pint and a chat, whilst also
providing an excellent place to eat. I enjoyed a delicious goat's

They made you feel very welcome! It was relaxing but not removed from the community. Everyone there was so friendly. It was a perfect ending to a rather frustrating day in London. Beautiful view from our room window! Room was the perfect size. I actually was sad that we booked only 1 night there. I could see us coming back and booking a week just to relax and visit with the locals. Hope to come back again someday!
