the location of the Rowans is delightful. The view of the expanse of the countryside to the mountains beyond from the breakfast table was wonderful. Ann and George are great hosts, friendly, but not too much. They pitch it just right. the breakfast was really good too and the house is immaculate. I would definitely recommend the Rowans. -

I loved the nice welcome we received from Lucy and Debbie they made us feel really welcome. The room was lovely and the bed was super comfy. The bathroom was spacious it also had a super shower. The hotel is well situated for a short stroll into the town. The breakfast was very nice with a good choice, but the full Scottish is superb. -

The breakfast was the best i have we have ever had when on holiday, and as we are in our late 60's and have travelled a lot, I think this speaks for itself. Quality, quality and more quality with everything.

This was a pure joy.
Everything about the place oozes class. The place is maintained to excellent standards and really compliments the surroundings.
The décor in the bedroom is done really well, everything matches and really shows the thought and effort the owners have put into making your experience one to remember.

1st class everything was as l would expect, this is the best accommodation l have ever stayed in and l will stay again before to long, the room was beautiful and spotless, the staff was so friendly, the breakfast was just fantastic with such a choice, the grounds are immaculate and you can sit and watch the birds feeding from a lovely lounge area, l also liked the fact that there is an age restriction on the kids, no smoking and especially no animals, honestly can't wait to return

Everything about the hotel was first class. Staff very friendly and helpful, the service at all meals was very efficient and nothing was too much bother - even to making my husband a cooked breakfast earlier than breakfast was normally served. The food was excellent. The atmosphere at the hotel was calm and relaxing and the public areas had plenty of comfortable seating where you could just sit and absorb the beautiful scenery. It is also a short walk into Pitlochry.

Our visit to this beautiful village of Pitlochry was actually made better by Pedro(The owner of Atholl Villa). A very personalised service, 5star rooms, a huge bathroom( which is a rarity in Scotland otherwise) , delicious breakfast made our stay at this place a truly mesmerising experience.

It was all lovely! A very warm welcome from the owners who obviously take pride in their guest house and offer their guests everything needed. The bedroom was lovely and comfortable, bright and airy, and everywhere was completely spotless. All the staff were amazing, especially Michelle the receptionist and Ed the dining room supervisor. Every aspect was first class. We had our very friendly dog with us as we do on all our trips but from his point of view this was absolutely the best ever place for him to stay - really pet friendly. We loved it so much that we are about to book our next visit today, 2 days after returning home. Please, please go to the Fonab for an unforgettable experience. P.S. the food is exceptional.

Gleneagles offers an excellent range of outdoor activities from horseback riding to falconry, shooting and off-road driving, not to mention the golf courses. The rooms were beautiful and huge for what is sold as a standard room. The whole hotel and rooms are decorated well and the beds are very comfortable - we did not want to get up the next day to leave for our holiday!!
When we did drag ourselves from our rooms the breakfast had was lovely, what a selection, you would be hard pushed to complain. All 6 of us cannot wait to go back for the spa!

The layout of the house. Very cosy. Off the road parking. Very helpful couple nothing was too much trouble. We stayed there because they also accepted Anya our little terrier dog but we would highly recommend it to everybody. Breakfast was also very good. We also stayed in hotels but we both preferred Shocarjen House. -
