It was our first trip with our 6 week old baby - the hotel could not have been more welcoming! As it is a high standard of formal dining offered at the hotel we were uncomfortable taking our baby in to the dining room, the staff set up a small private dining experience for us so we could still have a lovely dinner but not disturb other guests! My sister and I arrived earlier than the designated check in time and were greeted by a lovely staff member (Chris). He assured us that he would clean our room first in order for us to check in early. He also helped to carry our bags to our room and refused a tip. He was extremely accommodating and friendly. We had a warm welcome after a very stressful drive in snowy conditions.
Our car ran off the road! We phoned ahead to explain we would be late.

Had a lovely stay in room 2, which was very comfortable and had a view out to the front. Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming, ensuring we had everything we needed on arrival. The breakfasts were excellent and several items were homemade and super. We throughly enjoyed our stay and met many tourists from around the world. "Mine host" answered any questions and queries in as full a way as possible. Could not be faulted. Good luck to them both. Hope we can return sometime

Clean, comfortable. Like living in a big family home. Breakfast was honor system, you cooked or ate and then paid the prices in a honesty jar.
Made our own breakfast, cleaned up after or selves and talked with lots of different folks from all over.
Beds were great, showers had plenty of hot water.
Great price. Pub under neath the hostel, I can see that in the summer with the outside pub overflow it would be loud.

Bedrooms recently refurbished to a great standard, especially loved the light up mirror :) The breakfast was fantastic just what you need after a great night out in Oban. The hotel is very central for everything in Oban from the great chippie to the even greater bars. Would recommend if you are staying in Oban for an event in the Gathering Halls

We went to the Rowantree for our 3rd anniversary for an overnight stay away. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food in the steakhouse (onsite) was delicious! I highly recommend the fillet steak, cooked to perfection and super tasty! They are also bike friendly, with a safe car park located at the back of the hotel (so off from the main street). It is also ideally located for walking round Oban, less than 5mins to the bay. Altogether we had a lovely time away!

We only stayed one night, but Marion and Mike made us feel so very welcome from the moment we stepped in the front door. The Hotel was spotless. Our room was beautiful and the view was spectacular. We even managed to catch a glimpse of the sperm whale in the bay, from our bedroom window. Breakfast was excellent. This is one of the nicest Hotels in Oban (and we have been in a few) we will definitely be back; as we were so sorry we couldn't stay a couple more days. My parents were also visiting

The welcoming staff. Village location close to the sea. Good slection at

although a little cramped. Shower in the room did not work during my
stay but had the use of a seperate shower which was not ideal as I had

Liked everything about this place. It was very quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was excellent - this was the only b&b that did not have separate breakfast tables and it was great because it was a good opportunity to interact with other guests. Kirsty was an excellent host.
