A friendly welcome by Gary on Arrival, It was pouring with rain, I was dripping wet and gary moved the patio furniture so I had hard standing for my motorcycle and helped me with my luggage.A beautiful b&b, very clean with a great breakfast,Just off the main street of Oban, I would definitly stay again if I was in the region. -

We had to catch an early ferry, so he packed up huge bagged breakfasts-to-go and had them ready for us as we departed. Excellent place.

Excellent hotel, we stayed in the Kerrera room which had fantastic views over Oban Bay. The room was huge and was to a high standard. Breakfasts was again excellent where everything was cooked to order. The staff were really friendly. Karen actually came out to the car to meet us on arrival which I thought was a really nice touch. I would recommen

The style and location itself, amazing. Lovely outdoor areas to sit and enjoy the views with a glass of wine. Our room "Kerrera" was fabulous. Great views of Oban Bay and beyond. The bathroom, 6 steps down from the bedroom, simply outstanding. Just along the road from a fabulous little restaurant called the Seafood Temple (must book ahead).

The Old Manse is a delightful place to stay. The owners are great hosts and they have an attention to detail. Upon arrival they helped us with our bags and offered us a cold beer. The decor in the room we stayed in was superb and we had a great nights sleep. Breakfast was delicious but a little more variety could have helped. -

May come back one day since our main objective was to see Staffa.which had to be aborted due to the adverse weather on the day of the trip.

Stellar, friendly, helpful hosts (thanks Mark & Jan!), fab room with stain glass window and breath-taking view of the sea and promenade, Mark's Scottish Breakfast utterly delicious, lovely attention to detail including snifter of sherry, great location next door to beautiful ruin (Dunollie Castle) we will come back. Chief highlight of our three week Scottish tour was Oban in general and the Barriemore in particular.

This B&B is up to date, remodeled. Beds, furnishings, linens, bathroom fixtures are all new, tastefully decorated. Pillows and bed comfortable. The owner is superb. Breakfast very good. Lorna (the owner) was very friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable and clean. We were asked what time we would like our Breakfast instead of rushing like in some other places. Was the first time I staid in a Guest house and was not disappointed.
