It was very good for what we needed, which was a good rest, with pleasant local restaurants for evening meals.. We were there during the exceptionally bad weather the last weekend but one in March, and the fact that it was pretty isolated down a deep narrow lane gave rise to concerns ( unfounded as it turned out) that there was the possibility of

Because the weather was so cold we often returned early with a picnic tea -
The location was an absolute delight with fantastic views. The accommodation was far beyond my expectations and was 5* quality, and totally luxurious. Breakfast in the farmhouse dining room was to a very high standard. I would have no reservations about recommending Riding Farm to every one

Absolutely fantastic!! Will definitely be returning. Booked up with 3 other friends for a girls weekend and could not fault this hotel at all. Fantastic staff on reception who were always happy to advise where to go for a night out, 2 minute walk from the train station and within walking distance to bars and 'the gate'. Spacious, week appointed, spotless apartments. Great to have the kitchen facilities. Appreciated the option of Grab & Go Breakfast, included in price - pastries, fruit, juice cartons, coffee machine.
Reception staff were friendly and professional. They made the extra effort to offer additional info, maps etc.
Location, just a few minutes walk behind the train station, but away from the noise of the centre.

We could not fault the hotel.The Management and Staff looked after us,and nothing was too much trouble.Courteous and friendly on all occasions.The accomadation,in a single storey extension,was excellent.It was both cosy and quiet. - The room was very warm, but didnt matter as the weather was cold. located in a rundown area of the city but quite. save as we stayed. a little far from city centre but since we were revisiting a church nearby, it's not a deal. nice sitting room on ground floor with a bay window and sunshine which made us home. nice breakfast. we were allowed to use microwave in kitchen.

The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Although our room was above the bar and one of the beer gardens we were not disturbed by any noise. The Inn has two beautiful beer gardens and the kids enjoyed running around these. The place had a very casual and relaxed vibe which suited us. -
