Everything!! The rooms are furnished to a very high standard and the bar and lounge are very comfortable. All the staff are professional, attentive and friendly. We experienced some difficulties with our booking but the managers could not have done more to rectify the situation. Will we stay there again - absolutely! -

The location of the hotel was convenient to where I had to be the next day for a conference. I loved the site - by the river with wonderful views (especially at night), The hotel building was lovely - very attractive/welcoming exterior, wonderful interior design - very different and homely at the same time.

Every hotel has it's own personality but share a common set of standards and values... all very high. I like the wine list... Manchester had a special wine list which I would have liked to see in Newcastle. Young but not 'trendy'. The staff seem happy to be there!

A very spacious apartment. Extremely large bedroom and living area. Fully equipped kitchen. Décor was a little dated but not unpleasant. Extremely courteous owners. Its location overlooking a field was breathtaking in the early mornings. Very close to Tanfield Railway Museum, Causey Arch and the Beamish Museum. -

I booked the Hotel for a Special family get-together therefore having the bars and in particular the restaurant all under one roof meant that we could have a pre-dinner drink, change go to the restaurant and then have the use of a residents only bar afterwards meant there was something for everyone. If there was an option to give the staff more than a 5 + rating then I would. Thouroughly enjoyed my long weekend here and the staff were remarkably helpful and pleasant. I would hope this gets back to them and they can be commended for this.

This is a really special hotel. We really loved the quirky modern design. Everything was top notch. The staff were super friendly. Because we were kept waiting for a few minutes when we were checking in we were sent to our room with a bottle of champagne. The room was large and bright and decor interesting. Good free wifi - the kitchenette and 2 TVs were an unexpected bonus. (Would love to come back when the strip fire all along the front window of the hotel is alight in the cold weather.)

We were given a great welcome by a delightful Spanish employee and as we were keen to see the Tour of Britain cycle race stage finish in Gateshead he allocated us a room with a view - we were very grateful.The dining room staff at breakfast set a high standard of service. Excellent service. Well looked after at Breakfast which was also excellent - The hotel is in a lovely area of Newcastle - the bed was very comfortable and we had a beautiful view from the bay window.
