If you are looking for a guest house - this is brilliant example of very friendly and comfortable guesthouse.
I stayed there to perform skydive training few minutes driving from there, so it was really easy to stay. There are no big roads nearby, so it is very quiet outside. As well few minutes walk down the road great authentic british pub "Red Lion" with great food and nice service as well.

*along with the usual coffee/tea in the room,home made biscuits, bottled water and juice concentrates were provided
*home made preserves were served and all food was locally sourced, low carbon footprint
*extra large bath perfect for a distressing soak.
* quiet area for a good nights rest

for the price the welcome tray does not have any substantial food items - breakfast tray was better for an apartment
a normal supply of tea/coffee/sugar/biscuits as per all hotels which usually have a cooked breakfast for the price -

As I was visiting an elderly relative at the hospital across the road,

We have stayed at Fairlawns many times and have never been disappointed. We arrived a bit early after a long transatlantic flight and Matt was very accommodating about finding a room that met our needs even though it was not the room they had planned for us. The breakfast was fabulous as usual.

Very Peaceful. Food was excellent and the staff were curtious and happy to help. Service and presentation of food was faultless. - Very nice hotel. Room and en-suite bathroom were warm and comfortable. Everything worked. Room service dinner was very good as was the breakfast.

Warm friendly reception, lovely home cooked food, WIFI,clean well equipped room & en-suite with good selection of tea/coffee/hot chocolate & biscuits in room. Don't judge a book by it's cover... it's not in the best position as it's on a busy crossroads, but don't miss out - go in! You will not be dissapointed and once you're in you don't hear the traffic at all. The staff, the room, the food - everything was first class! The owners have spent a fortune but it's been well spent and it just works! We had a very lovely stay, will be coming back and telling all our friends. Thank you!
