Everything you need for a layover at the airport...Shower, tv, coffe and tea pot and close to restaurants. You need a boarding pass to get to it...and maybe a reservation confirmation as we'll as it is located in the transit terminal. Look for signs for the Rijk museum and then you will see signs for the mercure hotel. -

We found the hotel to be more than we expectd. The restaurant hadfairly priced food, the room was adequate and location was perfect forour needs. - I got sick during the night/early morning and the cafe was still open and was able get teas and beverage to settle my stomach

This is a brand new hotel with very well organized room space. A standard twin room is not very big, but arrangement is such that you have sufficient space for everything. Beds are extremely comfortable. Bathroom is clean and in excellent condition. Parking is convenient and free of charge. The price for the room is very reasonable. WF is free of

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was nice and varied. The spa was very relaxing and had plenty of different areas, despite the initial shock that swimwear is not permitted. The toiletries and en suite were also to a very high standard. -

3 night stay - Hotel located very close to Metro line - station can be seen from the hotel - so if you are travelling by car, just leave it at the hotel and travel by public transport to the city center. Parking is free from Friday 6 p.m. to Monday 9 a.m. After that it is Euro 1.50 for an hour or Euro 9.00 I believe for the day.

Everything. The rooms are huge the bed huge and comfortable the shower huge, good aircon with ventilation, nice big tv with hdmi in for once!. Downstairs two pool tables, ping pong and a gym, bar and restaurant. Close to two tram stops however far from city center.

There was a kitchenette with a two-burner stove, a microwave and a refrigerator. The room was comfortable and clean and it was quiet. There was ample room in the lounge area for hanging out and meeting people and the restaurant appeared to be well attended and a place to socialise. It was also just next to the subway and tram stops which was nice when arriving late at night.

The owner/staff were fantastic - friendly, thoughtful, knowledgeable. The single rooms were on the small side, as it is an old family house but that added to the character. He offered to assist me in carrying a tray of food to my room for my sleepy sister on at least three mornings. Our room was comfortable, spacious and clean. The hotel is conveniently located on tram line #2. The hotel sells tram line and Van Gogh museum tickets. Wonderful!

Although in a small city 25km from Amsterdam, this was a remarkably quiet, peaceful place where we slept well even with the windows open all night to enjoy the summer breezes.
The building was completely rebuilt in 2011 and everything is clean and modern. The bed and shower were both above average.

The hospitality offered at Hotel Hengelsport was exceptional. I asked for an iron box to press my cloths, and I was given an iron box and ironing table to be kept in the room for my entire stay!
Overall, very friendly and helpful staff. Made me feel at home.
Restaurant is also really nice. Chef made us some really tasty dishes. They remembered that I am vegetarian and helped me with the vegetarian items in the menu.

We stayed two night during first week of January. The staff was very friendly, the hotel is a small building (old mansion on Vondel Park), but is very nice. The rooms were modern with recent updates. Tasteful and not tacky. The breakfast for 9 euros is a great deal! - Excellent location, nice quiet room, excellent service.

Easily the friendliest staff of anywhere we stayed across Europe.
Want to make your own cup of coffee or tea in your room ... it's all there for you. Want to iron your clothes ... there is an iron and ironing board in your room ( the first time we'd seen this in Europe in over a month of travel). It's these little differences that just make travel so much easier.
Great breakfast, great location, one of the largest rooms and bathrooms we'd had on our trip. Perfect.
