The hotel was a block from the Rijksmuseum -- the breakfast room looked across the street to the back archway. We were two blocks from the Van Gogh Museum, and on the tram and bus lines that led everywhere. We were able to take a BUS to and from the airport by walking a few steps.

Let's be clear - this is a budget hotel. Basic furnishings, shared bathroom. If this is what you are after this is a very good choice. Great location. Tram at door. Three major museums no more than 500 m away, canals also, supermarket nearby, plenty of food options, and the wonderful vondelpark. Good basic breakfast. Bed comfortable. Clean facilities. Good vibe.

Kooyk Hotel was beautiful, realy perfect place for holidays,absolutly clean, very good breakfast, big beautiful room with wiev from window to canal (Gracht), comfortable bed and location can not be better - directly in the middle of the nicest and oldest part of Amsterdam.It was so romantic:-) We will come back to Amsterdam next year and of course

The room was warm, spacious and clean. Brekky was a bonus. If you want good value in the perfect location it doesn't get much better than this.

Really great value, especially with breakfast included. Our room was quite small but was really nicely furnished, felt comfortable and was clean. I liked the fact that it was close to the town centre and still resonably priced, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and there was no pressure to check in at specific times - Very good value for money. Good size rooms, towels included, The bathroom was good lots of room good shower, pressure was good some places have shocking showers but this one was good. Service was good the staff were nice as pie and were very helpful when asked questions. -

The host was great, he helped us with our bags and was really friendly. We actually had some changes to our room arrangements but we managed to come to an agreement regarding the payment so we appreciated the flexibility. Situated in an amazing area, so beautiful, gave me a different outlook on Amsterdam. Surrounded by everything you need. Bars, clubs, cafe's, restaurants and even the drop of point for tourists is just a 2minuit walk away. You can return to your hotel at any time through the night into the morning. Hotel Pax is a cute, clean place to stay for a few nights, and the location is absolutely superb. It's right on a major street between Anne Frank House and Dam Square. Lots to see and do, all within walking distance. From Central Station, it was only 2 short tram stops, then a 4 minute walk at most. (Trams are easily accessible from Dam Square).

Very friendly staff, location was perfect, located right off the Dam behind the royal palace. Very clean. You get your room key and a key to the front door so you don't have to worry if someone is at the desk....you can let yourself in, anytime! - The location is great and the staff were very helpful.
