The service was unbelievable - from the moment you step into the BandB you are made to feel so welcome. The rooms are beyond comfortable and include lots of little touches such as heaters in the bathrooms and pillow-top mattresses on the bed. As soon as you arrive, you are given fresh, home-made scones, danishes, and fresh tea and coffee. Wonderful

The room was great with a big king size bed and very clean, also with fruit in the room. Absolutely brilliant stay.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I arrived slightly early for check-in and was received with apologies because the room wasn't quite ready and offered coffee while I waited. I was quite impressed by this because in my past experience all I received was a rude look and reminder of the check-in time. I was very impressed with everything

The hotel staff were excellent throughout our stay and we were able to check in early, before 12, into a large spacious room. The food quality was very good as were the prices. The hotel is only a short walk from the main shopping street in Cork and the surrounding area was quiet. The leisure facilities are good although the locker area needs an up

The wonderful customer service- friendly and helpful every step of the way. The delicious traditional breakfasts AND the great location- just a short walk to Corks main shops/pubs and also a great base for any tourists wanting to do day trips to other areas. Excellent! friendly attentive staff room was perfect and clean fresh towels daily!They reall work hard to please Tea and cake on arrival a relly nice touch! - We're upgraded from a double room to a very lovely room with sittting area with Big Flat Screen TV and DVD with surround stereo system and a nice kitchen.

The Metropole hotel didnt look that much approaching from a distance but did we get a shock when we checked in and saw our rooms,the pool,and the breakfast was amazing. The rooms were lovely, big and clean. The price is very reasonable considering how close you are to the city and how nicely decorated the rooms are. There was a nice breakfast and they catered for gluten-free diets. Cork city was only a ten minute walk away, and it's right by the college.

We had a clean, spacious and comfortable room with a great shower. Breakfast is good, hot food, coffee and juice. The location is not too far from town - it takes about 20 minutes to walk or you can jump on the bus that stops out the front and runs up the main street of Cork. A taxi from the bus station/city will cost less than 10 euro. The owner

Almost everything! The location is perfect, the owners are decent, lovely, kind and very helpful. Couldn't ask for a better host. The value for our money in the room we got was excellent. The breakfast is everything we wanted plus it's served with a smile from the owners. How can you not have an enjoyable stay in such a place not too mention they got free WiFi. I will recommend the place to our friends anytime. Will go back there if we get a chance.

About a 15-20 min walk to the center of the city. The staff was very accommodating. My friend and I were worried about our bags so he switched around our booking to give us a room to ourselves when we both booked 10 person male/female dorms. The staff was really nice and everything was clean. We had a good experience. It is a good hostel and very cheap. More or less 10 minutes from the city centre by foot.
