This was an excellent overnight stop both going and returning from our holiday. My family of 5 where easily accommodated within a beautiful room. La Vieille Ferme is a well run B+B. It is located within the countryside but close enough to the main A88 motorway. It is clean, well kept and nothing was too much trouble. My children enjoyed the trampo

The owners were welcoming. The lounge area had many books and brochures, as well as wifi. Good breakfast - we were offered delicious scrambled eggs from the resident hens. Twin room suited us (mother & adult son). Situated where we wanted to be, but also easily reachable from the Caen ferry so could be a useful overnight stop before heading south.

It was a delightful 5 night stay at a good price. Quaint village and
beautiful hotel in quiet garden setting. Nice room though 3 stories of
stairs to climb. Host and hostess were wonderful and so helpful though

This was a great B&B. Ryes is a very small country town in Normandy but it is central to all the D-Day sights (most are within 1 hour drive) and you can go to a nearby town on Gold Beach for great restaurants by the sea. The owner is very friendly and the rooms are well appointed.

This is a lovely Chambre d'Hotes, in a beautifully restored old
building around courtyards, decorated in French country style, and very
chic. It is very close to the town centre and picturesque harbour, but
is quiet and peaceful inside. The breakfasts are quirky and delicious -

It was a wonderful and charming little hotel converted from an old girls school. The young couple there in the day spoke good English and were very helpful, and the woman around in the morning was very charming and helpful despite not speaking English. Breakfast was in the courtyard on a sunny morning. The room was charming and had wooden beams. A real fantastic place where we spent one night, centrally located next to the marina and an abundance of restaurants.

An absolutely beautiful hotel and the highlight of our 3-week vacation in Europe. Large, spacious rooms with king size beds. Each room unique and tastefully decorated. The staff were so friendly and could not do enough to look after us. The
hotel itself was picture perfect, nestled along a quaint street just
yards away from the magnificent cathedral. The location was central to
town, and parking was really convenient. The hotel is small, and I guess
that's why it's only a 2 star hotel - though it feels more like

The staff went out of their way to help us with a rental car problem and
were very friendly and accommodating with respect to all other matters.
The restaurant/bar had a great atmosphere and the food was
delicious. The setting is absolutely beautiful with the River Aure right
behind the rooms in the annex.

This hotel is made up of beautiful, very comfortably furnished buildings. The pool is lovely and of a good size with 2 separate whirlpools. -
The warm welcome and the helpful attitude of all the staff throughout our 4 night stay.

The hotel was in the middle of a charming small village, near a historic
site. The male owner had great English and was very helpful and
friendly. The waiter in the restaurant had very good English and was
helpful. They gave us ice and wine glasses for our room (which only had

Nice farmhouse converted to a hotel with a lovely restaurant. The hosts were very friendly and informative. The food at the restaurant was great. Good location for the Normandy coastline, Bayeux, Caen etc.

Annie the owner was very attentive and helpful. She made breakfast every morning. Her manor is 100 years old, set on acres of open ground with lots of grass and a pond. Very beautiful setting.
