Our room looked out over the market square, others over the church and the very best look over the lake.   My sister and I loved our stay in Hallstatt. We were upgraded to a junior suite on the top floor of the main house - with a very convenient elevator not far away. We had stunning views of the lake and parts of the town from our little balcony. The room was very spacious, crisp, and clean (I think it is one of the rooms pictured on the website). You wouldn't have known that though as they cleaned up very quickly. Our room was divine. Luxurious, comfortable, and extremely clean. The view of the lake from our balcony was breathtaking.   Room decor outstanding and very comfortable. Traditional Austrian style with gorgeous woodwork throughout. Cost was very reasonable for such a beautiful place. The views of the surrounding mountains and lake are breathtaking, although from this location they are interrupted by other buildings. Staff able to speak English which was an help. Fresh trout - Friendly staff who spoke English fairly well, a clean room with a partial view of the water and town (and the next building) and a great restaurant downstairs.   The design of this hotel is superb! It has the charm, warmth and elegance. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. We got upgraded to a lake view room and I wish we could have stayed there longer. The view is breath taking. The room had all the ameneties, bath room ameneties are excellent to the details.
