I wouldn't hesitate to send anyone there the atmosphere was fantastically relaxing it had a very homely feel to it and was within 10 minutes stroll of the Lowthers pub, 5 minutes from the river and 2 Minutes from 'the wall' conspicuous in York.   We liked the nearness of the City but just out far enough to have a quiet feel. It was about 15 minutes from railway station so we were able to walk and it was about 20 minutes to centre of town. The area outside our suite was very nice but the weather wasn't conducive to sitting outside. I would recommend "Mount Royale" very highly! Convenient to the city and all its attractions.
