All the staff were polite, helpful and very friendly. I would definitely stay at the Rubens again, our room was recently refurbished and was in excellent condition. The room service was impressive and the food the best I've ever tasted in a hotel.

  The staff were brilliant and really put themselves out for us. They upgraded us to a massive double suite with champagne and chocolates. It was our 25th Anniversary and they put themselves out..even putting rose petals on the bed at night while we were out. They could not have done a better job...thank you Ritz. Nothing snooty or subservient or obsequious either. Breakfast was fantastic. Smooth, easy process for us. The complimentary champagne on our first night was unexpected and greatly appreciated. We were on our honeymoon and "splashing out" as a one off but the one off will be our first choice anytime we are in London.

  When I realized that London hotel rooms are very, very small, I found the 9 Hertford Street apartment hotel. It's location is excellent: just off Piccadilly st., very close to Green Park underground station that brings you anywhere (including to and from Heathrow airport with the Piccadilly line) , a 25 minutes walk to Oxford st.   Fantastic location in Shepherd's market. Near everything but very quiet. Spacious quarters with two separate rooms, a full kitchen, and separate beds for all three of us. - Great location - local restaurants and pubs and walking distance to attractions. Arrived early - staff made us feel welcome and facilitated early check-in.
