Extremely comfortable, clean room and all necessary facilities. Staff were lovely and welcoming. Would happily stay again and definitely recommend.

  A return visit for 3 nights, after a 16 year gap! The hotel has changed hands since then and is almost unrecognisable from the previous visit. I had a standard single room, which was just what I need with plenty of space too. The beds were comfy, tea and coffee making facilities and some delicious homemade shortbread provided too. I felt very welcome from the minute I stepped through the door, especially as it was the first time I'd stayed away on my own. Our rooms were spotless and very comfortable. The location was ideal for walking into the shopping area of town and close surrounding areas. This was the one of the best beds we slept in while on our trip around England. Vince is a great host with good recommendations on what to do and how to get there. Shirley is an awesome cook and these were the best breakfasts we had in England. The location is very good - a 15 minute walk from the town so that we could enjoy wine with dinner and not worry about driving and there are lots of good restaurants in Bowness-on-Windemere - just ask Vince!

  The suite was everything the photos and description promised it to be. The location is incredible with all of Bowness shops, pubs and fantastic restaurants at your doorstep.
