Walk below into the quaint village of Bowness. We loved having the excellent breakfasts and heading straight out behind the house for hill walks with tremendous views over Windermere. Extremely comfortable, clean room and all necessary facilities. Staff were lovely and welcoming. Would happily stay again and definitely recommend.

  We stayed at the Bay House some 12 months ago and enjoyed the location and we they decided to back this week. The place is now under new management who have only been in for 2 months or so, but are making a very good go of the place. We enjoyed our weekend as the Bay House Lake View Guest House is central to everything, pubs, shops, lake and roads... 别人怎么说 » in and out of Bowness........Loved every minute of our stay - Maxine & Graham the new owners are very welcoming and eager to please, nothing is too much trouble. Comfortable room, very good choice of breakfast and homemade cake in the room every day which was wonderful bonus! Issued with a car park pass so no worries about parking. Easy walking distance to the amenities of Bowness but quiet at night, the location is excellent.

This was the one of the best beds we slept in while on our trip around England. Vince is a great host with good recommendations on what to do and how to get there. Shirley is an awesome cook and these were the best breakfasts we had in England. The location is very good - a 15 minute walk from the town so that we could enjoy wine with dinner and not worry about driving and there are lots of good restaurants in Bowness-on-Windemere - just ask Vince!
